frank 2,293 Posted April 12, 2013 You're a cheap fawker. No wonder you're of the party that doesn't mind spending everyone elses money. You know somebody else is tipping these poor slaps so why should you spend yours on them. Let the rich fawkers pay the poor working mans freight. And if they need any public assistance, it's the rich folks fault. Do you know what this is? It's the world's smallest violin playing just for the waitresses. nikki2200 4 Posted April 12, 2013 I've never seen Reservoir Dogs. I keep passing over it on Netflix streaming. Do I need to watch this? Do you like Tarantino? It's definitely his classic quintessential work. It's really my least favorite Tarantino movie though. For some reason the violence really gets to me in that one. It's not so hokey and satirical as his others and it just makes me cringe. Great GREAT dialogue though. There's just one part that I really can't stomach at all. Mr. Pink's diner dialogue (quoted above) is the best in the movie; IMO it is downhill from there. I love Steve Buscemi in that movie though; thought he owned it. And it's probably the reason I haven't watched that movie since college. It's just a little bit too real and disturbing. I can sit here and watch Brad Pitt bash a Nazi's head in or Marvin's brains getting blown out 48 times in a row, but that Reservoir Dogs scene is too much for me to handle. I'm a huge Tarantino fan too. I just think that Reservoir Dogs had a bit of a different vibe to it and is a little bit more realistically violent than his other movies. One of my favorite Tarantino directed and written scenes - last segment in Four Rooms. Hardly anyone has probably watched that movie, but it is all kinds of awesome with Tarantino as the cherry on top.

And the torture scene seems tame after seeing Zero Dark Thirty I was thinking of Buscemi in that scene as well, not happy with "Mr. Pink." I also liked the big boss dude. Something about him... it was almost like they took a real mobster and put him in a movie, but didn't tell him it was make-believe? I don't know how to describe it. I think it goes back to the diner scene though. Anyway, maybe I'm a little harsh on the movie. I enjoyed it, but I just didn't think it was great. In hindsight it was much more of a dialogue-focus than a plot-focus, which isn't necessarily bad. It was one of those things where you think you are watching an all-time classic and it doesn't live up to your expectations.

It was one of those things where you think you are watching an all-time classic and it doesn't live up to your expectations. That's the whole point. I just got into a conversation with the man about Tarantino because I'm posting about it here and I said, "You can bundle up one conversation in a Tarantino movie and it contains more brilliance than the entirety of most movies that are out there." It's hard to put into words, but you either love it or you don't. It's about people having a normal nonchalant, yet thought-provoking and deep conversation, in the midst of what would otherwise be a pretty shocking or screwed up situation to an average person. Like the long take conversation about Marcellas Wallace and his reaction to someone giving his wife a foot massage (which had implications later in the movie) while casually walking up to an apartment to kill a bunch of kids. Or the final scene in Four Rooms which the majority of entails the dialogue around a drunken bet to see if you can light a Zippo 10 times in a row ala Hitchcock's "Man from the South". It's normal and quirky and interesting conversations amidst a completely abnormal circumstance. I haven't seen Django yet and I can't wait. His movies aren't really about the plot. It's about the characters and how they become a means to an end, and the dialogue and quirky conversations give you insight into their characters, which is really the central focus of his movies. Madsen is a weird man. A bartender I know here I had a few drinks with him and some other white powder stuff. He was bragging about the time he got kicked off the movie "Eyes Wde Shut". He had a scene where he was supposed to jerk-off on Nicole Kidmanns ######. The sick fawker actually did it and Cruise kicked him off of the set when he did. It was Stanley's last movie and he wasn't happy that Tom was so pissed that he had the power to kick him out of the movie. He's a curse to have on your side. Frozenbeernuts 2,227 Posted April 12, 2013 I'm very sorry the government taxes their tips, that's ###### up. That ain't my fault. It would seem to me that waitresses are one of the many groups the government fucks in the ass on a regular basis. Look, if you ask me to sign something that says the government shouldn't do that, I'll sign it, put it to a vote, I'll vote for it, but what I won't do is play ball. If youre serious that you dont really tip your waitress you are a straight up massive POS. Thats piece of shlt incase you cant figure it out. The reason waiting staff gets paid as little as they do outside of tips is because a restaurant is such a risky business to start that paying everyone at least minimum wage would make staying in business nearly impossible. Many of your favorite eateries would have never made it had they had to pay more for their staff.

I am not a lawyer so can you tell me the legal difference between a gift card and cash. Gifts to Postal Service Employees While many Postal Service™ customers have traditionally thanked their letter carrier with gifts of cash during the holiday season, this practice puts our employees at risk of violating federal law. The Standards of Ethical Conduct for Employees of the Executive Branch ("Standards"), specifies that Postal Service employees may not accept gifts from outside sources (including Postal Service customers) or gifts given to them because of their official positions. Postal Service employees are also prohibited from soliciting gifts from outside sources. There are a number of exceptions and exclusions to the general gifts rule. Postal Service employees may accept the following items: -Snacks and beverages that are not offered as part of a meal. -Items with little intrinsic value (i.e., greeting cards, plaques, pens, coffee mugs, etc.). -Perishable items (i.e., flowers, chocolates, cookies, etc.); if the items are clearly worth more than $20, employees should share them with others in the Postal Service workplace. -Items with a market (retail) value of $20 or less. -Gifts motivated solely because of a personal relationship. -Gifts for which the employee has paid market (retail) value. -Gifts paid for by the Postal Service. -Postal Service employees may not accept cash - in any amount or form (bills, checks, money orders) - from an outside source. I usually hit my bartender up big right off the bat if I know I'm gonna be there for awhile, then I wait till the end to tip him again. I don't consider a tab.
