Hey Voltaire thanks for the welcome, which is far kinder than many of the responses I have received so far. Much appreciated. 

As far as disagreement goes- perhaps, hopefully we’ll find out. Far more important to me is honest, intelligent discussion by people who, whatever their political views, truly want what is best for this country and the world. Whether or not that exists in this forum, or can exist, is an open question to me. And if it doesn’t I won’t spend too much time here because I’m really not interested in insults and dumb retorts. Unfortunately, my early impressions are negative. But we’ll see.

I do a post a lot; I love posting. The reason I have hesitated so far to do so here is because, as I already stated, I’m not sure I will find honest, intelligent discussion in this forum, which is my goal. My initial impression isn’t great.

Check out the date of the first post in this thread. Nearly ten years ago now. At the time I only did it because somebody was imitating me in this forum; I had no desire to post here (one forum for me is enough.) The only reason I’m here now, (for the moment) is because the PSF got shut down so I’m exploring alternatives for political discussion. I’ve already joined Discord and I’m glad to find many of my old FBG acquaintances there, but I’m not in love with the format. Here the format is good and I like that there is little or no moderation. Just wish there were less insults and what I regard as dumb conversation.

I really don’t: I do need intelligent, honest discussion though. And I would appreciate a certain amount of civility though I don’t need it enforced by outside moderation.

The trans issue is important for many reasons because it exposes modern liberalism for what it is and it is quite disturbing.  

1.  It preverts a basic biological truth which everyone knows to be true, but people have been scared into even acknowledging basic facts.

2.  It exposes how little respect the left has for free speech.

3.  It shows how little the left cares about people and how consumed they are with power.  The left literally discards children who discover it was a mistake and they want to detransition.    

4.  It shows just how thoroughly our medical and colleges have been overrun by an extremist agenda and is debased from truth and science.  The whole idea that children can self-diagnose a mental/medical condition which inevitably leads to perscriptions to powerful drugs and possibly harmful surgeries is so sick and an absolute afront to their Hypocritic oath.   The scientific  proof of any benefit is non-existance and the massive harm is self-evident. 

It is a wakeup call to how corrupt and evil the left's agenda is despite their seemingly feelgood intentions which they use to manipulate people, especially young children.
