IGotWorms 4,060 Posted October 20, 2013 That call in the Jets-Pats game was the biggest bunch of horsesh!t I have seen in some time. Way to ruin a great game you stupid motherfockers
FrogAssassin 6 Posted October 20, 2013 Please elaborate as I am rooting for the jets..(brady hatey) and am rooting for them.
IGotWorms 4,060 Posted October 20, 2013 I'm done with this sh!t. They can't even let the g0ddamned players win the game
tanatastic 2,062 Posted October 20, 2013 Pats got jobbed, that's a blatantly dumb call that directly cost them the game. Just a case if a ref over analyzing trying to shake things up.
Matt Mueller 147 Posted October 20, 2013 Jets fan...couldn't believe that call but happy we pulled it out.

Matt Mueller 147 Posted October 20, 2013 Def a call that didn't need to be made in that situation... I still feel the Jets deserved the win but the Pats got hosed.
IGotWorms 4,060 Posted October 20, 2013 Jets fan...couldn't believe that call but happy we pulled it out. No offense, but you did not "pull it out." Going way too safe with that run on third down when you weren't in field goal range, then predictably missing the 56 yard field goal which would have given the Pats GREAT field position...sorry, but you guys deserved to lose that game at the end. IGotWorms 4,060 Posted October 20, 2013 Jets played well all day but they did not play smart in OT. Whose to say what would have happened for sure but I doubt they were going to win after missing that 56 yarder.
Law 241 Posted October 20, 2013 No offense, but it is a new rule this year. Sorry it goes against your team or hurts you in FF, but it is a rule. Are the refs not supposed to call the rules in the book??

There's a time and a place to make that (focking stupid) call, and the deciding play in overtime of a divisional game is not that time. Fock that ref and the woman who spawned him

Totally agree. I thought he was gonna miss the kick and you guys would march for a couple first downs and end it. We got lucky at the end but I am def proud we didn't lay down. New England was def in control at the half and the Jets rallied.

Fock that ref and the woman who spawned him I agree with you 100%. I'm not even a Pats fan, but that was a BRUTAL call. A ref should never decide a game. The NFL should be embarrassed and that ref should be fired. I don't even think that play really lived up to the spirit of the rule. Total bullshit.

I would completely understand if they had blocked the kick and the push seemed to be the cause, but with a clean kick there's just no reason to make that call. p00h 85 Posted October 20, 2013 it's a new rule. They called it. I'm sure the talking heads will discuss it to death over the next few days so we'll get the really skinny one way or another. I personally didn't quite understand what they were calling, but the announcers clearly stated it's a new rule this year, and they seemed to believe it was a legit call, albeit something no one has seen called yet. Dunno. I'm a jets fan and I agree they played like crap ion OT, and deserved to lose. I wouldn't have minded at all if they lost. I don't want to end up 8-8 and get nothing on both sides of the equation, nor do I want any part of Rex sticking around, but it's always nice to beat the Pats. Regardless, let's see how it flushes out over the next few days...

Sorry. Jets win! Such a great memory there. How fun is it to see that play and know they called it a forward pass? It's the very definition of a fumble. It's the play I'd show a person who didn't know what a fumble was to show them what a fumble is. They even had to pretend it was a real rule for the next bunch of years just to avoid shame. Perennial Contender 18 Posted October 20, 2013 Now The Pats know how the Raiders felt when that incredibly BULLSH!T tuck rule call send the Pats to the Super Bowl. Still the worst call ever in sports ever. Sorry. Jets win! Exactly. Patriots have had plenty of calls go their way through the years and Brady is treated like a spoiled child by the NFL. tanatastic 2,062 Posted October 20, 2013 Read every post and still have no clue what the hell you're talking about. What was the call?Jets missed a long fg in ot. Refs called that a pat pushed his teammate in the back to get him closer to the kick. Replay shows his hands on the dude sure but he wasnt even close to blocking the kick and its a new rule this year basically never been called ever. 15yd penalty, jets hit a chip shot to win. Nickoli 1 Posted October 20, 2013 Chargers got called for that new rule about not roughing the center on a fg and it was blatantly wrong (the nfl came out the next day and said so) during the Texans game and it definitely turned the tides of the game in the 4th quarter. It is what it is, more retarded rules that should not exist because Rodger Goodell wants to play god
American Chewy 98 Posted October 20, 2013 why is it 15 yards? whatever it is.
Reality 3,121 Posted October 20, 2013 Just saw the replay, looks like very definition of the rule. If they didn't call that then it shouldn't be a rule. He was blatantly pushing his teammate into the Jets backfield.

PackYourNut 47 Posted October 20, 2013 Yeah, I mean the refs should never call a penalty when it happens, because that makes sense! Bunch of , cry babies up in here....

Soooo, because they failed in successfully using the now illegal push to its full effect, it shouldn't be called? Only for Pats fans! Oh, and a 42 yard kick is NO chip shot! R8RMick 242 Posted October 20, 2013 What's overlooked here by Jets fans is the completely moronic call by Fat Buddy's Son to try a 56 yard field goal right there, potentially giving Brady the ball on his own 46 yard line. How that clown still has a job is beyond me, but hey, bust a move Beavis.

IGotWorms 4,060 Posted October 21, 2013 Probably wasn't even a penalty at all. Apparently second level players are prohibited from pushing teammates but Jones was lined up on the line of scrimmage. Would've been a ridiculous call regardless but this makes it especially dumb if true.
