So, iphone users...like being force fed U2?

Recommended Posts

Is this their attempt to stay relevant? Did this blow up in Apples face? Have you heard the album?

Pitchfork says the album is garbage. Then again Pitchfork is 100% for skinny jeans wearing hipster dbags.

I'm not a U2 fanboy, but they will remain relevant until they stop putting albums out.

Love a lot of their earlier stuff and some of their later stuff is pretty cool to me. Love them or hate them, U2 is an iconic band that will always sell.

Well, not when they give it away... :dunno:

Yes. I am absolutely focking outraged that apple gave me something for free, that I can easily delete if I decide I don't want it! Bastages!

Oh and sux... I was an android fanboy once... An ipad and an iPhone later and I'm converted. Just a superior experience.

I call it being lazy :P

In all seriousness, you tried BOTH and decided on Apple. I respect that.

I declined to try windows phone. I figure, they haven't made a decent desktop os in fifteen years, why let them sell me a neon plastic phone?

And from my brief playing with one in the AT&T store, the amazon fire phone is so ghey, it ought to come with straps so someone can put it on and fock you with it. All the employees there have to use them at work. I asked the guy if he liked it, and he conspiratorially whispered "my personal phone is an iPhone. This thing is for kids."

grew up with U2 - they are the music of my generation and as mentioned above: iconic.

I'm a tech guy and love the simplicity, effectiveness, and capabilities of Apple's products. Perhaps you can argue that they have less processing power, smaller screens/resolution, and higher price tags - but in the end, they simply work. You rarely have to manage/configure the device to do a task.

95% of my phone use is calls, texts, music, podcasts, gps and internet. As long as the phone can perform these functions smoothly, I'm fine with it. I'm pretty sure most people are the same. It's the people who camp outside for a week for the new phone who get all worked up with the apple vs droid debate.

The fact of the matter is, either platform is excellent, an will do everything you need a phone to do and then some. It's just preference.

This. And I had an IPOD prior to my IPhone so I already have a pretty large music library on Itunes. When my upgrade comes up I probably won't even look at another phone, not because I love Apple (I don't), I just don't want to fock around with having to migrate everything over.

I love most of U2 songs and have a crush on the more younger version on Bono though he has aged nicely... I just don't get the iphone craze unless you are a techie, which in CA is just about everyone in silicon valley. As soon as there is something they can add to it, folks dump last year's model and get the newest. Waste of money unless you are in the biz imo.

I used to work for a Mac only reseller company in the early 90s through the end of the 90s. In the beginning, IBM and HP were huge in companies and Mac was just for artists. Our reps had to bang on doors. Then when they developed more our company with a corporate and retail division started becoming pretty profitable. Many of us :wall: for not seeing Apple shoot up in the future and didn't buy Apple stock. We never thought Apple would beat Microsoft, ever. I had bought Microsoft stock instead  .

If by attempting to stay relevant you mean its the biggest surge of sales for iphone ever and their stock is throught the roof. Then yes, they are desperately clinging to relevance aka dominating and being more profitable than ever.
