3 weeks in...Which player did you draft too high?

Recommended Posts

Doug Martin in the 2nd. Focking muscle turd. He had workhorse potential with a huge ceiling. And I took him, after considerable thought, over Antonio Brown. Fock me. Maybe he bounces back a tad after Rainey's fumblefest... But for now, giant facepalm.

Best late round... Chris Ivory in the 13th. Knew he was outplaying CJ all preseason. Hopefully he can stay healthy cause he looks really good.

Gerhart, Keenan and Rice.

Drafted Benjamin late but have a bunch of mid level Wrs - Allen, Tate, cooks, Benjamin with Gordon rotting.

I don't have any guys I really drafted "too high"...but I have lacy and ellington...and I prob wish I could redo them and add a couple of guys that would make me lethal....I can't give up on lacy and I'm not soured on ellington...I still think he'll be OK going forward and lacy can't get worse....I'm actually 4-2 in a double win/loss league and if it weren't for the moreno debacle last week I'd prob be 5-1

Ingram and moreno were looking like great late round picks of mine until last week.....right now luck looks like a steal where i got him(not late but great value in the 7th)... and benjamin in the 11th

Two of my teams are 3-0 and the other is 2-1

The constant on all three is Benjamin.

I've dodged the injured and bust RB's for the most part, as I went WR/WR and QB/TE in the two redrafts. The 2-1 team is a dynasty.

Only player I drafted too high was T Rich. He should have never been drafted.

Keenan (3rd rd). Thought he'd be a PPR stud. I know he had a tough first 2 matchups. We'll see from here on out. Disappointed tho.

The one player I have on all four of my teams as a RB #2 that is just killing me is J Bell of the lions .

Keenan for sure. I had high hopes for him. Now I am trying to trade him for frank gore.

Keenan in rnd 3 as my wr1. Top wr on my board were him and Roddy at the time and there were no rbs that I considered value. I waited til rnd 4 and got rashad.

Really wanted him in all three leagues and got him in none. Phew. Did manage to snag Rivers in 2 leagues though. Everyone was talking about Cutler, but I thought Rivers was the best value QB.

I drafted john brown as my very last player. Yahoos draft grade put my draft at a C and specifically mentioned THE LAST person drafted on my team as "conceptually adventerous". He is the 35th scorer at wr in my league and has outperformed the likes of Sammy Watkins,T.Y. Hilton and many more.

I shoulda taken Maretllus Bennet in the first round of all 3 teams, based on points so far.

Got him late in my big league after missing out on all the TE I was waiting for who all have sucked. Loving the unicorn, will suck when I have to roster another TE during his bye.

I drafted 3 leagues, and there were very few value players I really had pegged. One of those guys was Jennings, and I posted here why, etc ... i was right, but I only got him in one of my leagues. Went before I expected him to, in a league of well informed players.

Great value though, especially in PPR. Like I said, even if Eli is bad, this kid can put up some numbers. He's a multi-talented back that can do a lot of things, and has played at the pro level without sustaining a lot of injuries. The Giants need that badly. He's done well.

He pretty much singlehandedly vaulted my 2-0 team to 3-0. I actually had him on the bench last week starting Vernon Davis. Never again. Unbenchable now.

I'd go so far as to say he's the 3rd best TE right now after Graham and Julius as far as guys you'd start over him. He did pull this Mr September crap a few years ago w the giants where he scored a TD for something like 4-6 weeks straight then disappeared. But I'm riding him til the train stops.

Must start, for now. It's so hard, just to stop Brandon Marshall and that Jeff dude ...and then you also gotta cover the black unicorn. And the run game.

It's not easy.

In my big two QB league I drafted Romo way too high. Luckily I got Cousins.

Best later picks: I got Maclin in 5 of 6 leagues. I was targeting him from the start.

Ingram in 4 of 6. Still think he's going to be solid and will be coming back sooner than later.

None and None. All of my top picks are performing, inconsistently but performing. Most of my late picks have panned out to be bye week fillers at best. I basically got the team I was trying to draft with no surprises.

Peterson 3rd overall. :shocking:

K. Benjamin in the 7th

R. Jennings in the 4th.

I had done plenty of mock drafts with the 3rd overall and my first 3 picks for my real draft went exactly as I wanted. I went Peterson, Julio, Jordy and then Draft Buddy had Toby and RJennings in the same tier for my 4th pick. I sat, stared and used my full 90 seconds to decide between Toby and Jennings. Glad I went with Jennings.

Ray Rice in the 5th round hurt, so I took it out on my wife.

Kelvin Benjamin in the late rounds has been great. But the wife got another beating anyway.

Wait, what? The same R. Jennings that has 100+ combined yards in each week along with 2 TD's? The same R. Jennings that has no competition for touches? He went too high?

Jeffery. Guy is a fourth or fifth rounder at best. I should have had Gio on my radar but didn't. I should have taken Nelson or Cobb instead of Jeffery. Fifth round, no one because had I not got Johnson I probably would have gotten Rice. Unless I took Ellington in third and then I would end up with VJac or DJac most likely as both were available in that round.

Also, I might be regretting keeping Rodgers because I could have kept Bell(who I ended up drafting anyway to be back) and drafted Marshall and I would w/o question have a strong 1-2 punch in Marshall and Jeffery or have Ellington as my no.2 back(because Gio was not on my radar). I also could have went Cobb for WR2 because he is definitely that. I still would have gone after Patterson in fourth round and likely qb would have been Newton or Foles. But I would have probably pounced on Cousins or Dalton(who was dropped because a Manning owner stupidly drafted him with the 6th pick) in FA into the season before this point.

The Good:

Jay Cutler in the 8th

I sang Cutler's praises from when he got to the Bears in 2009 until last year. Drafted him several times - I finally gave up. Dude could never come close to matching his Denver stats.

For your sake, I hope the early success continues. Personally, I have no faith in him whatsoever.

Cutler got a pro bowl year in Denver as Brady was injured they had to pick someone besides their noses.

Ball end of the 1st worst pick for sure.

Made up for it with bell in the end of the 3rd. Nothing too bad elsewhere. 2-1. Lost this week with the 2nd highest score
