NFL: 11 of 12 Pat's balls under inflated.

Recommended Posts

Still stick with my initial statement that the Pats are going to try to get some poor equipment manager to take the fall for this.

Surely he was the first person the NFL talked to like three days ago. I would think, but who knows, the NFL already has talked to him and if he says they were never inspected then I doubt this would still be a thing.

Yet NO ONE has spoken to Brady?

And nor will they do so, until after the super bowl. Goodell is Kraft's boyee, Krafgt was the one who suggested him..... this will not be allowed to affect the Patriots during the SB.

But if you are the Patriots do you really care? If you told me you were going to take away a 3rd round pick and fine me $25k, but i get to cheat my way to the SB.....does'nt pretty much anyone do that? If you are someone like Bellichick its not even a question.....

Why would the NFL bother talking to Belichick or Brady? They have no problem cheating or lying and just playing dumb. Their press conferences were no surprise to anyone, and neither would their responses to league officials.

or maybe they don't have PROOF (as in who dun it) or enough to actually say anything?

There is no doubt now. This is going to be the most watched super bowl ever.

Play dumb all you want Edjr. Both are liars. I could have written their pressers for them yesterday. As I could write the BS they'll be telling the league.

Proof is the elusive thing n here, the Patriots are cheaters, not idiots, this was another well executed instance of their ability to cheat to achieve

No, because Mort was one of the first to report Rice punched and described the video...great memory Ed.

Way back in May, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported on the contents of the video, based on what his sources had told him. "Ray Rice strikes her twice, and her head hits the rail."

I think most people are just finding this whole thing comical. We just like watching Patriot Nation squirm.

I must admit, I have the humor level of a 8 year old, because all the "ball" double entendre jokes are not getting old.

Imagine getting lucky and getting a once-in-a-lifetime franchise quarterback and then cheating so much during his career that every accomplishment you've achieved is looked upon as fraudulent. LOLOL I think I'd rather be a Jacksonville fan at this point.

I believe Belicheck when he says he doesn't know. I would think the head coaches leave that stuff to qb's and equipment staff. I do not believe Brady tho. I would think a qb could tell the difference in a few ounces of weight. I think Brady asked someone to take some air out, and they took to much. Is it a big deal? Yes. It's cheating.

Wonder if Madison Ave. has anything in the works about the attachment a QB has with his balls? Wilson? Lubriderm? Gillette?

I could believe BB didn't know about this...but his entire story yesterday about how he didn't know about the process until just this week....

Bill might be upset that there was a way to cheat that he didn't know about.

I think he'll do absolutely everything to win, even if that includes cheating, but I just don't think he would mess with game balls. I would guess head coaches leave that to the qb's. I agree with you, I'm sure he knows the process.

Serious question for the Patriot fans.........

Forget all the stuff that Belichick and Brady are saying. And forget that there may have been some atmospheric pressure drop on one sideline but not the other..

IF, and I'm just saying IF, it is found that the balls were inflated by someone on the patriots sideline, what do you feel the punishment should be?

This all hinges and depends on how deep the rabbit hole goes.

If nobody comes forward, or rats or caves to admitting they deflated the balls then the NFL can do little and eventually it will just go away and we'll move on. Obviously people will still joke about it but meh.....

IF the NFL finds a leak, or IF a person is found to have tampered with the balls after they were inspected this could get ugly. Because who knows how far the rabbit hole goes. Because IF that is the case I highly doubt this was the first and only time. People hardly ever get caught the first time you do something.

This could all be just absurd, or it could be the tip of the iceberg. Stay Tuned!

Big fine. It also depends on who did the inflation and who knew. Given that the rule book indicates a fine of $25k as a starting point, I think that you would have $250k as a fine for the team. Ball boy not so much.

If the team hindered the investigation or was not forthcoming, then hit them with a loss of a pick (3rd rounder?).

If Brady had the needle in his hand, then we could see him lose a game check as well, but not a suspension. If Suh gets his suspension lifted then they won't suspend Brady.

I think that the chance that Brady actually let the air out himself are less than 1%.

its a fine and loss of draft pick... This isn't a big deal except as an excuse to knock the pats down a peg or two.

Disagree.

Refs inspect footaballs, were given back to Pats and when they got to the field they weren't legal. NFL doesn't need to know who did it...they can punish the crime, Pats were responsible for safe guarding football and failed. You don't need a picture of Brady deflating them.

you know that the refs checked the psi before the game ? According to Rogers it doesn't always happen.
