Strike 6,019 Posted April 15, 2015 I thought the defense might have been able to create reasonable doubt, given the missing motive and the limitations imposed on the prosecution talking about his other cases, but when the defense acknowledged he was there when the murder occurred I thought he was done. That sealed it for me. Of course, I AM aware of his other cases but the jurors may be as well.
KSB2424 3,173 Posted April 15, 2015 so do we really need the song and dance and the families to traipse to the court room every weekday for a couple months? i say no. Of course you have to have the trial edjr. 1. It gives closure to the victems families and 2. to ensure the right person is held liable for the crime. If he is found innocent (somehow) then they may re-open the case (as in the real murderer is still at-large). You have to complete it to the end to tie up all loose ends. Magnificent Bastard 192 Posted April 15, 2015 Nice franchise you got there New England. Star player convicted of double murder via your owners testimony. Star player mind you, that every nfl team stayed far away from. Now take your licks like a man, it's your own teams fault for their continued arrogance. They can't even turn in a legit injury report without playing games and being decietfull. Aaron Hernandez was and always will be a Patriot. And while he was a Patriot he ran a criminal enterprise that culminated in multipule murders. These are facts, and they are not disputed. The Patriots don't do the right thing, over and over. You act like the patriots are the first team to ever have one of their players convicted of murder. Why does it matter who he played for? He was released as soon as they found out. I know I don't associate him as a patriot anymore and could've cared less if he played for ravens, steelers, cowboys, ect. Guy was a great athlete who played for a great team who committed murder. a guy like that is always gonna get posted on the front page
Magnificent Bastard 192 Posted April 15, 2015 I stopped reading right there. Right, Nfl teams usually give contract extensions to 3 year players for millions. And they print up thousands of jerseys for scrubs that they then have to buy back when he kills a couple or three people. Denial in effect. P.S. - I just owned you. That's why they got him in the 5th round. It's like hiring a cheap electrician who everyone warns you about . Whose fault is it when the house burns down? They deserve what they have, a reputation for doing it wrong. If it were an isolated incident that would be one thing, but they are always in the soup, and that's just the stuff we know about.
