weepaws 3,191 Posted September 10, 2015 I don't believe that there will be a main guy in the Cowboys backfield this season , until in the injuries start to pile up .
R8RMick 242 Posted September 10, 2015 An argument could be made that McFadden is the more talented back, with better measureables... McFadden's knock is that he can't stay healthy... We are in agreement about randle though Oh lord no lol... McFragile's knock is that he's pretty bad too. My opinion is that once Michael is given opportunity he will take that job outright. Again I ask, has Michael officially been ruled out of Sunday's game yet?

dcgangstas 41 Posted September 10, 2015 As local beat writer here Mike Fisher just commented: (paraphrasing) Since May 2nd - Randle has been the main guy. He was the main guy in practice last week, he was the main guy in practice today - he's going to be the main guy... Least till he fumbles 3 times or gets Romo killed. True dat. BTL99 34 Posted October 27, 2015 McFadden is gonna go for 150 and at least 1 TD in every game remaining. Get on this train. Dude might win MVP.

Ray_T 753 Posted October 27, 2015 McFadden is now the starter. oops, Mcfadden got a papercut signing an endorsement deal. if it gets infected he may be out for the rest of the season. watch out!
Cruzer 1,995 Posted October 27, 2015 I've been saying since training camp that I thought DMC looked better than Randle - so this was not shocking to me... That being said he was helped out by not having Weeden under center.. But that being said - DMC has a running style that is way better suited to this line than Randle's. We saw it Sunday - DMC attacks the hole, with purpose. He doesn't dance around and he doesn't get happy feet. Sometimes he's only going to get half a yard - but he's also not going to lose you 5 yards either. He prolly comes back to earth this week against Seattle - but I still prefer him over the clown Randle.
eventfulcards 0 Posted October 27, 2015 I've been stashing DMC for the season now waiting for him to get a chance. Granted the matchup vs Sea isn't that great but he has the most talent on this team at RB. His talent has NEVER been the question. It's always been health. So I will ride him for the next couple of weeks until he gets hurt and then drop him like a bad habit. If for some reason he manages to stay healthy and Romo and Dez return sooner rather than later, he WILL be this years CJA. Maulers1973 117 Posted October 27, 2015 I remember when they told us Michael was going to the be starter. Then, they said Randle, then they said Michael. In my world, 2 carries is not representative of a "starting tailback" in the NFL. Thank you Dallas. Run DMC aint gonna do all that against the Seahawks anyway. thewrathofkuhn 40 Posted October 27, 2015 I don't believe that there will be a main guy in the Cowboys backfield this season , until in the injuries start to pile up . His 31 touches this past week in a very close game on the road with a healthy Christian Michael should help make you a believer.

weepaws 3,191 Posted October 27, 2015 I do think in ppr he is worth a flex play most weeks , he is without question the better rec rb on the Cowboys .
SaintsInDome2006 441 Posted November 9, 2015 He's been terrific, I just can't believe he can keep up this workload. 15 touches at half vs Philly. Something has to give.

thewrathofkuhn 40 Posted November 9, 2015 Nope I still don't . I'm sure by about week 12 or 13 you'll be on board. He's been a model of consistency since taking the reigns – against some of the best rushing defenses in the league.

stonewall 647 Posted November 9, 2015 Too bad the Cowboys are done. He was looking good. This is an important statement. They are done. This means that Romo prolly ain't worth owning till next year, and that they will likely kick the tires on Michaels down the stretch to see what they have.....diminishing McFadden's value. He has looked very good running in that system though, admittedly. I still wouldn't draft him next year though.......just don't trust the dude. Repeatedly burned. SaintsInDome2006 441 Posted November 9, 2015 The NFCE isn't going anywhere. The Cowboys could still be in striking distance of NYG or PHI when Romo gets back. The Cowboys have zero trust in Michael, he didn't get on the field last night.

dcgangstas 41 Posted November 9, 2015 The NFC East is so bad that no one is out of it. McFadden's exceeded my expectations by a wide margin. In the last three games when he played Seattle, the Giants, and PhillyDMC has 395 total yards and a TD.

In the last three games when he played Seattle, the Giants, and PhillyDMC has 395 total yards and a TD. The Cowboys still have Carolina at home, the Pack on the road, Buffalo on the road and the NYJ. How many of them can you see them winning? At best 2. There's 8 losses right there. NYG and Phil play each other. One of them gets a win. Never say never, but it's a long shot, even in a weak NFC east.

Not to be too blunt about it, but you do realize they've lost 6 in a row and are looking up at Washington's ass in the standings? They were flat out lucky to win the one over the Giants early this season. The Cowboys could be 1-7 and looking forward to a high draft pick. If I'm them. I pack Tony Romo on ice the rest of the season and tank the whole thing trying to draft his replacement.
weepaws 3,191 Posted November 9, 2015 I agree there is not need to bring Romo back and I also can see C Michael getting more work going forward . They do need to see what they have in him for next season .

I don't think Romo is the issue in Dallas, and I never have, he takes the brunt of everything that's wrong in Dallas. They've always put romo in there with some horrible defenses. They really need to shore that up. I can remember games where Romo throws 4 TDs and 1 INT and gets the blame, even though his defense gives up 35 points, nobody mentions that. Run game is ok, McFadden is getting it done. For the record I hate dallas more than any team in the league, and I laugh at their misfortune, but I don't hate Romo. brotherbock 349 Posted November 9, 2015 Sorry if I missed it here, but what's McF's contract like? Is he running for the money, so to speak? That makes it sound bad...is he out there gunning for a new/better contract, in Dallas or somewhere else? Could motivate him to keep producing even when their season is officially over. DaBeerz 88 Posted November 9, 2015 McFadden has gone from a WW plug n play if you're desperate at a Flex role, to a must-start week to week RB2. Good floor, he gets tons of carries and a good chunk of yardage most games. He won't blow up for mega points, but he's been decent for the last 3 weeks. Not bad for a guy who was scraped from the WW before they cut Randle.
