Tevin Coleman

Recommended Posts

Does he have any value at all at the moment other than handcuff? Everyone was expecting him to runaway with the job before he got hurt. I would've loved to have gotten him predraft, Now he's sitting there on the WW. Whoever the RB in that offense is will have RB1 value, especially with the schedule ATL faces. But Freeman has absolutely taken hold of the starting gig these last two weeks. Is there any shot at Coleman having fantasy value right now (maybe a Gio Bernard type) or is he useless unless Freeman goes down?

Freeman is a mediocre rb who everyone is losing their nut on because he beat up on 2 bad run defenses. Even tanatastic, who was right about cj anderson, is blinded by watching freeman run around untouched.

That being said, freeman is still the starter. I think Colemans ability will shine through. I also believe that even if this is a split, both backs will be viable starters each week unless one gets hurt, or the other just sucks. Coleman scored a TD in each of his first two games and was looking like a 18-22 carry rb. The fact that no one is rostering this guy and his potential in some leagues is insane to me.

I think Coleman is must own.i would grab him. ATL is steamrolling teams and Coleman is the most talented back ATL has. Houston actually was a decent run defense, have not given up a rushing TD or 100 yards on the ground. I am drinking the Freeman coolaid but it may go bad anytime.

I still own Coleman.

With back to back big games, I have to think that the coach would need to think about giving Freeman the next start even if Coleman is healthy.

I am hanging onto coleman because I am still not completely sold on Freeman. but I'm playing this week to week at this point.

Im thinking worst case, Freeman can still be the Woodhead of the Falcons. All the redzone work, goal line and 3rd downs while taking a series here and there. Thats if they decide to keep Coleman in a flimsy "starting" role.

Coleman can't seem to stay healthy enough to stay on the field , I don't trust him right now and Others keep posting about how bad Freeman is as a player but yet he keeps putting up rb one number the past two weeks . No way Coleman comes back and Freeman goes back to just being a back up like De Williams with the Steelers . It's a Rbbc when Coleman comes back .

I'd say it's 75/25 split at worst for Freeman and Coleman has to re-prove himself to earn any more than 25%. Freeman is the goaline back, regardless.

I drafted Freeman because I missed on Coleman, and thought Coleman might not have the full load. Coleman owner in roster trouble dropped him after he got hurt. I just picked him up after a trade created some roster space, mostly because a good portion--not all--of Freeman's recent success has been the O-line. Byrdman is right, Houston's run D wasn't terrible. Atlanta's O-line was opening huge holes. They'll be able to do that for Coleman if Freeman goes down. And he could, he's a little dude.

I couldn't afford to grab Coleman until today--didn't have anyone to drop. But I've got him now, and there's a good chance he'll be useful--if Freeman is a mirage, or if he gets hurt. Coleman is good too, he'll thrive in that offense too.

I'm holding Coleman thinking Freeman will get injured, but clearly the job is Freeman's to lose.

I would hold Freeman and wait for Coleman to get hurt again , he was hurt the whole summer.

Um

I think Dallad had the #1 rushing defense at the time

Coleman on waivers in my league. Does he still hold value with Freeman blowing up? I am thinking this is a good pickup with lots of potential upside...he was the starter at the beginning of the season.

I believe he does have upside. Freeman hasn't always been a picture of health, and Coleman was drafted by this coaching staff

Id pick up Coleman everywhere. At very worst you have a high upside lotto ticket behind Freeman in case of injury.

I agree. I think its seriously ridiculous that Coleman is on waivers. Maybe as soon as he was hurt, but once the news wasnt that bad he should have been picked up as a lotto ticket immediately. I purposely traded assets away for him after the injury.

More upside; Coleman or Duke Johnson?

If Freeman is unable to work, Colemans upside is 3 tds per game. Dukes is he is a cleveland rb... meh

Coleman , but only if Freeman gets hurt from this point on Freeman has earn more playing time and it will be a real frustrating situation for us fantasy football team owners .

I agree, Coleman has more upside for two reasons:

1. Freeman is little and may get injured.

2. There is a three headed monster in Arizona

3. Coleman will get 10 touches at least, and maybe even goal line.

27 carries for Freeman to Coleman's 3 in a game that went all the way into overtime. Freeman's play the last 3 weeks cannot be denied. Baring injury, Coleman will be irrelevant. As a Ellington owner I feel you pain.

Yeah, I said those words before on October 10th and today, October 14th, I recant them. I own Coleman and I'm wondering if I should hold him just waiting for Freeman to go down. Would you hold him just for that reason?

Dropped. If you're holding onto him, your only hope is an injury. It could be next week or next year. I'm not going to use up a roster spot during the prime of bye weeks for him.

I think Coleman is a good hold. At worst hes a cuff that you know will produce if he plays. Thats a rare thing lately.

I agree he is a good hold if your roster can spare the room.

another big game by freeman could mean Coleman only gets playing time in the event of an injury.

if Freeman returns to his old self, Coleman could still get some love.

Due to bye weeks and injuries, I am starting to feel the pinch. I May drop Coleman if Freeman lights it up again on Thursday. Not cuz I dont like him, but because I may need to cover a bye week and an injury.

It could be difficult to base a decision off of tonight. Playing on a short week after a ton of carries last few games Freeman will probably get spelled tonight just enough to give you hope.

Only 2 tds tonight

Meh :)

It was a down game for Davonta. Only 13 carries for 7ypc and under 10 rec. There should be better days ahead for him. Falcon offense wasn't up to par, he could have done even better.

I think the Julio "injury" is padding freemans stats.

What freeman is doing right now is amazing though. Can't believe it...

Freeman is definitely a beast. I have no doubt my Coleman will be irrelevant barring injury.

The blocking is incredible. Huge holes each week.

This. Coleman is going to be irrelevant unless Freeman goes down, but if he goes down Coleman goes big. I can't say he'll put up the numbers Freeman currently is because the guy is unreal, but I would say he would end up a RB1 most weeks. That's worth a bench spot to me.

I traded Hillman for Coleman yesterday.

Waiting for that injury.

Coleman (except for the fumble) was having a great game based on his usage. If you didn't know any better you'd think it was Freeman running on those Coleman runs. Not to dismiss Freeman but I think this is one of those situations (good line with great scheme, STUD WR on the outside, etc) where you can put almost any RB back there and he would be a RB1. If you own Freeman then Coleman is a must add. If you have roster space, Coleman is a must add.
