Trump revokes press passes for Washington Post

Recommended Posts

So Obama is responsible for the fact that there's no Republican press in the White House? Wow, he had more of an impact as the president that I thought.

considering that the press has to be given credentials by the White House, and they have every right to revoke them, why is this surpising. It might not come from Obama, but someone in his cabinet is responsible for who they let in

What's truly sad is your side actually thinks that someone who speaks their mind equates to someone who terminated millions. The Post knows who they are selling to. :dunno:

actually it's Trump who knows who he's selling to.

The disturbing thing is that Trump wants to speak his mind, but doesn't want anyone else to do it. He talks out of his ass all the time. This is the Trump quote that started it off:

"Look, we're led by a man that either is not tough, not smart, or he's got something else in mind," Trump said of Obama. "And the something else in mind -- you know, people can't believe it. People cannot, they cannot believe that President Obama is acting the way he acts and can't even mention the words 'radical Islamic terrorism.' There's something going on. It's inconceivable. There's something going on."

His comments mean that he thinks that Obama has an ulterior motive or he is leaving it for people to misinterpret. Either way, that would not be a good thing if he were talking about China or Russia or some other country.

He needs to be able to say what he wants, but the press has a right to say whatever they want about what his statements mean. It is in the First Amendment. The guys writing the Constitution thought it was so important that they put it first. I think that even the most ardent supporter of Trump have to cringe at his press blacklist.

We are focked.

This doesn't really square with Trump's tough guy image. This is more, take my ball and go home, which deep down, is what Trump is anyway.

You didn't have to dumb ass. Your implication is there. And is the weak ass argument you use continually. Implying much?

I didn't imply a damn thing about them.

He gets pissed because people rightfully criticize the stuff he says.

And some here don't think its a 1st amendment issue. Oof

I'm going to open up our libel laws so when they write purposely negative and horrible and false articles, we can sue them and win lots of money. We're going to open up those libel laws. So when The New York Times writes a hit piece which is a total disgrace or when The Washington Post, which is there for other reasons, writes a hit piece, we can sue them and win money instead of having no chance of winning because they're totally protected," Trump said.

America is that much greater just having a leader like Trump this close to the Presidency.

He did the same thing when Megan Kelly was picking on him. He skipped the debate she was hosting. He's actually a big pussie.

This is the thing. Trump wanted to imply that Obama had ulterior motives and was siding with Radical Islam. That helps his campaign now that Obama has endorsed Hillary. But he's not smart enough to realize that he'd be pressed to explain himself. He didn't think it through that far. And now he's angry with reporters who want him to explain the retarded thing he said.

Again...so what

I'm just pointing out the complete facts, he left off the facts about how many were democrats. The vast majority are not affiliated with any party.

Whether or not Trump is anything to anyone, the Bezos WaPo has become an unabashed left wing shill. It no longer pretends to have credibility so why should anyone give it any. :dunno:

I don't want to hear any complaining. We had other, more qualified, better choices. Those with proven records of accomplishment and common sense.

The country chose otherwise on both fronts. You reap what you sow. I'm out of it......the country is full of idiots. We deserve everything we get.

I don't think that was what he was saying at all, and is why the headline that the Washington Post originally published was irresponsible journalism.

I think Patriotsboy was right - that what Trump was saying that Obama may have an ulterior motive other than "being tough" (i.e. doing everything at our disposal to destroy ISIS, regardless of the political ramifications) or "being smart" (i.e. utilizing all intelligence resources available, regardless of the political ramifications) to prevent further terrorist attacks.

I have a hard time reading into the words Trump said or even between the lines to infer that he meant that the ulterior motive was that Obama somehow orchestrated (or encouraged) the Orlando attack or that Obama supports radical Islam or ISIS.

I have mentioned this before. I love the quote about how Trump says he's going to revamp the libel laws.

...Problem is? Wait for it... there are no federal libel statutes. They are all state based.

Fantastic. The same guy who wants to limit the federal government Now wants to start superseding States rights.

Not only is he a f****** moron, But the fact that none of his followers picked up on that Says a lot about the intellect of those that support him.

The federal gvt has been superseding states rights long before Trump came along. Nothing new.

I hate sticking up for Trump, but I doubt he even knows that. Trump is the least knowledgeable candidate in the country's history. It's frightening how poorly prepared this clown is.

It's not a 1st Amendment issue. The press guy can still write anything and everything his heart desires, but on the flip side, Trump, as a private citizen, has every right to revoke his privilege. No issue with the 1st Amendment. I'll ask you this. Can the press guy still write any article he wants about Trump? If the answer is yes, then the issue is moot.

It's funny watching the forearm hacks cast aside the very core of their belief system to try and convince themselves Trump is their guy.

You know, you guys can admit Trump is utter shit, but you just can't stand Hillary. You don't need to pretend the guy you're voting for is even remotely fit for office. No judging.

I'm guessing these guys are republicans:

David Brody of Christian Broadcasting Network
Kevin Corke of FOX News[3]

As is the reporter from the WSJ, the Washington Times and newsmax

If they aren't, how is that the White House's fault? Those are all conservative outlets. Press corps seats are assigned to media orgs, who get to name the reporter, not the white house.

And how is someone's political party a job qualification? What the fock, do you want to send the brown shirts around to verify their party papers?

yes Hillary supporters

This. The reasons people want Hillary fall into two camps. Either its "Girl power!" or "She isnt Trump.". Only one of the candidates have supporters who actually are saying: "You know what, love or hate the gperson, I kind of want some of the stuff he is proposing."

That's nonsense. All you have to do is listen to the two speeches they made after the Orlando incident. Hillary sounded calm and assuring. She had a plan. You could tell she worked with intelligent advisers. Trump's was a giant pat on the back. He sounded like a used car salesman. He used the opportunity to cut up Hillary. To cut up Obama. Didn't show an ounce of compassion and sure as hell wasn't a calming influence. The word "presidential" has been getting thrown around a lot lately, and that is the very reason why. Donald Trump would be a great ringleader at the circus. Or the leader of a new Jamestown. But he is so far from being presidential material that it's horrifying.

and yet facts are, Hillary will continue to kiss up to the middle east, and bring in far more Syrian refugees than already have, while continuing to attempt to take more rights away from law abiding citizens. Biggest failure as secretary of state, but hey lets promote her to Pres that will help

It is most certainly a 1st amendment issue. And Trump is no longer just a private citizen and if elected his thoughts on the press also show his disdain for the 1st.

Hillary has never once said she wants to take anyone's guns. She wants to have tighter restrictions to keep them out of the hands of guys like Omar Mateen. You pussies said the same thing about OBAMA. NOBODY WANTS TO TAKE YOUR GUNS! Get that through your thick empty heads.
