Its a pretty funny story. I've told part of it here, but not all of it. Bear with me the part that is a moon landing.

 

So our last Valentine's day together, I was working at the waffle house. Had already done our festivities the weekend before. Keep in mind we had not had secks in about three years at this point.

 

So I'm cooking, and all day long, it is lovey dovey stuff on the jukebox, happy couples, etc. When I get off work, I am in a good mood. So I stop and buy some flowers. Peach roses. The selection at Kroger at 4pm on valentines day is slim.

 

I get home and give em to her. She starts running her mouth, "I hate peach roses! You would think after seven years of marriage, you would know that! Next time..."

 

I cut her off. "Next time you get flowers from me is when I place them on your grave, kvnt." I run the flowers down the garbage disposal, and leave the house. I had to make a brief appearance back at work for shift change at 9pm, and in the meantime, I just hung out with some friends.

 

I get home from shift change about 10pm. She is in her bedroom (we had been sleeping in separate rooms for five years). She asks me to come in. I do. She is sitting there naked, trying to rub her own back. She asks me to help her. I do. Things happen, and we end up focking. I leave, and return to my room, and go to sleep. This was the first time we'd banged in three years, and was to be the last time we ever did, as we were divorced six months later.

 

The next morning, I was off work, so I come downstairs late. She is banging around the kitchen. "Good morning!" I chirp, in the way only breaking a three year dry spell will do.

 

"Fock you. Don't you remember what happened last night?"

Yeah, I read an article about that a while ago. When time allows, I'll try to find it. THere is an IRS form that NFP's have to fill out for shiit like this. Apparently, the amount of money spent on conventions, speaking engagements, etc. was in the single digits. Versus, sending materials/equipment etc to affected countries. Let me see if I can find that.. Sure, that can be gamed, but there are numerous organizations that actually keep pretty regimented tabs on this stuff.
