Trump probably hasn't paid income taxes in 20 years

Recommended Posts

Trump surely uses every trick in the book to minimize his taxes down to zero or as near to it as possible. That in itself isn't so upsetting as that's what most everybody does. What's upsetting is that the system is so rigged in favor of the rich donor class such that guys like Trump are able to do that. Then the next question becomes is Trump willing to close the loopholes that he is clearly willing to exploit that allow for guys like him to avoid paying taxes. And although I do believe he knows how to exploit the system to avoid taxes, I don't know that he is willing to change it such that guys like him should. I doubt he is.

If he took an approach with this along the lines of : I don't pay taxes because I use every loophole I can to avoid them. Those loopholes exist because guys like me buy politicials like Crooked Hillary to keep those loopholes in place. But I know where the loopholes are because I jump through each one and am going to shut them.... that's how you take lemons and making lemonade out if it.

Why do people buy into this fantasy that Trump will close loopholes?

He wants to CUT taxes on the rich.

That's his whole economic plan: trickle down. Cut taxes on the rich so they can piss on the rest of us, er so they can invest it which will then indirectly benefit the peons.

Why on earth would Trump use his "genius" to make the rich pay more taxes when his entire plan is to ensure that they pay less?

Trump will close the loopholes that allow guys like him to avoid taxes right after he forces companies like his to bring manufacturing jobs back.

It's why I'm considering voting for the lady that doesn't think the US should be properly policed but does think using US troops to act global police just fine and also enjoys passing out taxpayer candy to people who prefer to sit on their ass all day rather than work.

I have to figure out which flavor of sh*t I find less repulsive when I tubgirl myself in November's election. I vote absentee so I have to figure out the day before what I want to eat/spray for this joyous occasion.

Obama did a good job of keeping the rich in line. It's a lost cause, they have the power. Move on to the things they allow us to have a say in.

Not even close. He's a sh!tbag and I wouldn't vote for him on a bet. But I am curious, was this "operating loss" in anyway a real financial loss related to ops, or is it just a paper loss that he manufactured somehow, maybe by taking all the depreciation on his casinos before dumping them into his public C-corp he was busy running into the ground with no regard for his investors. Everyone has been preaching this refrain that it's "all legal" but how that loss came about has never been established as legal. I would think it probably is legal being that large but I think it's likely there might be some pretty big ethical questions involved.

I think it has to be a write down of value in the casino after it declared bankruptcy. That business loss flowed through to his personal taxes

Its not the problem alone that he minimizes his takes..its what he rails in while doing such things (including his past comments about others taxes.)

Just as its not the problem alone when some Republican jachwagon gets caught smoking pole. The problem is when the same jackweed fights to deny other pole smokers rights.

Or being against abortion but having paid for them for his women (had that happened).

Its the do as i say not as I do BS.

This isnt hard to figure out people

I am still looking for some magical loophole

Loopholes aren't designed for petty small potatoes businessmen like you. Bend over, you're the shill responsible for paying for everything.

I pay very little in taxes so its not me. And again they still aren't loopholes, they are written into tax code for everyone to use

I don't see it as gaming the system if it's within the laws honestly. I don't fee that rich people are obligated to take care of poor people. I also am a small business owner too so that is bearing on my thoughts as well. I make sure to write of every single thing I can. If they didn't want us to use those benefits then why have them

1. The law is a floor, not a ceiling. Just because something is legal doesn't make it right. Is he a criminal? No. an unethical hypocrite piece of sh!t? Likely.

2. My dad used to be a CPA and lawyer at a big five accounting firm. He has all sorts of stories of how it is a never ending game of cat and mouse between the IRS and the big firms. He says one common tactic was to blatantly do something they would catch, argue it to the teeth, and while they are busy with that, and patting themselves on the back, you "shovel money out the back door."

The botttom line is the IRS has far less resources available than the people guys like trump have working for him. And given the disparity in salary, which side do you think the best and the brightest work for?

I'm not saying anyone should pay more than they owe. But read the tax code sometime. It's a joke.

You will see things like "this subsection shall not apply to any entity located within fifty miles of such and such mountain engaged in the manufacture of such and such." They actually write laws for specific corporations.

The whole damn system needs to be torn down. Just like every other system in America pretty much.

We still on "probably"

Did Trump release his returns? Still on probably until then, unless someone does it for him. They are 'probably' bad enough that he doesn't want to release them, since he.. you know, doesn't want to release them.

Hillary Clinton probably ordered and funded the death of ambassador Steven's. Until she releases the 33000 emails, it probably happened. Releasing the emails could easily clear her.

Are the emails Hillary won't release in the same classification? 'Probably' bad?

Probably deleted, possibly bad, definitely suspicious. Do like any sane person, don't vote for her.

Hillarys secret speeches to Wall Street will have a much bigger impact on all of us than anything in Trumps returns. Deny that.

well I don't know if you caught or have seen that I also work full time as a blackjack dealer, that makes up about 75% of my income, I pay taxes as normal on that income, but my businesses, which generate about 25% of our income currently, I write off everything I can including every single mile that I drive each year on both of our vehicles.

now if I wasn't working full time as well, I might have a problem down the road, that is true.

our business has grown 400% in a year, and should double again by next time this year, which will make it much harder to write off the profits

actually its not, both of my cars are used for deliveries, and both of them are wrapped in advertising for our business. Its not a loophole or tax fraud, you are entitled to write off 54 cents a mile

You don't know shite. Thise speeches were to upper echelon employees, amd Goldman Sachs has forbade their top 1% from contributing to Trump. The fact that you think Wall Street, especially NY based firms, are republicans confirms your jerk water town hayseed ass has no clue.

That should be illegal. Influencing an election with threat of firing. Seems wrong to me.
