Hardcore troubadour 15,433 Posted December 27, 2016 What did you get? What did you give that you were proud of? I got some clothes and useless stuff. Because I'm Dad. Christmas is for kids and women. Men go get it themselves if they need it.
Cruzer 1,995 Posted December 27, 2016 My gift came in the form of giving... My immediate family made one big donation to the DFW Pug Rescue. But I did get an official NFL Dak jersey.
Djgb13 2,339 Posted December 27, 2016 Gift I gave my wife was a pair of real diamond earrings. Thought it was about time she had some real ones. Gave her four other gifts but that was pretty much the ones I liked the most. Gave myself a new truck (kinda needed it). Parents gave me an Apple Watch and other things. Really what I liked was my mom giving my nephew and niece a $500 golf scholarship to give to a senior of their choice every year in honor of my grandpa. cyclone24 1,913 Posted December 27, 2016 My gift was Cleveland to watch the Cubs. That's enough for about ten Christmas' for me. Got the wife a couple things for our upcoming trip to Hawaii. Oh... and that thing I had asked you guys about helping kids at the hospital. We ended up finding a family through the homeless shelter we volunteer at and my daughter and I went and spent a couple hundred bucks on toys for two boys ages 3 and 6 here locally. Went well. There's not much of anything like that around here but i do want to do that one day. We had some friends back in San Antonio we would go with to volunteer to help feed the homeless there during the holidays.
MDC 7,428 Posted December 27, 2016 For me: I got a book I wanted, iTunes gift card, several sweaters and t shirts, a ton of beer. I got some really nice pint glasses and my wife bought me shoe trees - not exciting but the type of thing I would never get for myself and can really use. For my wife, a new handbag, some cosmetics she wanted, a new tea pot and earrings. We spoiled the kids rotten.

jerryskids 6,799 Posted December 28, 2016 My big gift was a new Lenovo computer/tablet. Got some travel gadgets including a Grid-It organizer (we bought a bunch of these to hand out) and a Zolt universal laptop/phone charger. Wife is getting a new mid-size SUV, she wins. Boy (20) got 3 pairs of shoes and a jiu-jitsu gi. Girl (18) got dance shoes and cash. She wanted a color blast Tyrann Matthew jersey but we couldn't find one. Actually we thought we had but the company focked up. Girl (15) was the big kid winner with a new (used) Nikon camera. She is big into photography and making vids (don't go there) and my other daughter knows a film major who was selling his to buy the latest greatest. On a plane heading home now, it was a great trip and Christmas.

cyclone24 1,913 Posted December 28, 2016 From what I hear it is. I've seen videos of people falling over cause it tricked them into thinking it was real Yeah I've had mine for about a year. I use it quite a bit. The games are getting a lot better but are still a little bit short. You can get some great videos and watch a lot of sports in virtual reality. Right now they have a game every week in the NBA in virtual reality and Fox Sports VR has had a couple really good football games. You can download movies as well. Pretty cool too Oh and put one on when you get on a plane. You'll have people thinking you're an alien

You'll have people thinking you're an alien I thought about waiting until the PlayStation VR comes back in stores to buy it since I figured they had better games than the Samsung VR would. But taking it on a plane and using it there sounds like a pretty nice idea. I might have to rethink about getting the Samsung one. Might just end up getting both lol

Some of it just depends on what kind of equipment you already have. If you have a high-end computer the rift or Vive may be an option. For me I like them ability to be able to take the gear wherever I want and check things out. And by to check things out I mean watch pron.

Djgb13 2,339 Posted December 29, 2016 Just trying to help dummy. Carry on. No you weren't. You were trying to make it seem like I'm dumb with my money when in fact I'm not. The fact that I have both a savings and a good portfolio along with the fact that I'm making pretty good money despite taking a paycut just so I can get more healthcare is proof enough. If you were truly concerned then you wouldn't have said it the way you did. Add to the fact that you're starting to follow me around like RP and shotsy which is making you look pathetic. But by all means carry on jerry

I thought I already said made pretty good money? I don't make six figures (not yet at least) but I'm making enough to where I can buy a new truck and my wife diamond earrings. My thing is I don't see the problem but apparently others around here do. So either people here are actually broke and don't believe anyone here can make decent money or they are just jealous that I'm in my 20s making decent money
