Suspiria

I've never seen or heard of Suspiria. Obviously you liked it since it's in your Mt Rushmore but is it really that good? I figured I would have heard of it if it was but I haven't. Might have to check it out cause I LOVE a good horror movie

Rec is a pretty good one too. Not sure if anyone saw Quarantine, but it's the original and it's in Spanish.

I have found that foreign horror movies are pretty awesome. A lot of the cheesy dialogue/bad acting is masked when you don't understand a bulk of it and are just reading subtitles.

The original Damien was GD scary to me.

Never got into Fri 13. I still don't 'get' the concept.

The first half of Jeepers Creepers is as scary as anything I've ever seen, but after that...

I haven't seen Poltergeist listed. GDarn, that was scary and well done - and still ages well.

Mike Myers is a scary ass mofo. Scream did a great job of bringing back the genre.

If Alien(s) count - Then definitely.

NOT RUSHMORE

Also - The Thing with Kurt Russel was pretty good.

I love being scared - but books do it so much better. "IT" is the perfect example.

The Conjuring was better than reviewed - and based on true story. So was Sinister

most of the Paranormal Activities have their moments.

The Thing was great and Top 5 IMO.

Guy sees head spider "You gotta be focking kidding me". Goof though is he's one of them.

The Exorcist

Halloween

Texas Chainsaw

Psycho

Some others that I really liked: An American Werewolf in London, A Stranger is Calling, Get Out (not scary, but interesting). Also, Rotten Tomatoes lists two newer movies, The Babadook and It Follows among the highest rated. Anyone seen either one?

I saw 'It Follows' and it was pretty decent but not great.

'Fallen' was a good one as well.

Both really good, neither great.

Last new one I saw and really liked was The Blackcoat's Daughter.

Not a big horror fan but I did see The Babadook. It's good, but nowhere near all the "Scariest Movie Ever Made!" hype that was going around for a while.

I'm still pissed off at Blair Witch.

Geesus, that thing was hyped beyond belief.

And ended up being like a poorly shot version of 'Road Rules'.

thought this and the sequel were pretty funny---David Cross is hysterical  Once the Wayans left the series...blah.

I admit. I wacked it when Kathleen Robertson was wearing the leather pants and thong :o

I could not stand that movie and thought it sucked. Only good horror i have seen in many years is Cabin in the woods. Everything else is same old haunted house spirits conjuring trash.

There's a movie from back a ways, some of you older birds might remember - The Bad Seed.

One of those really creepy type movies, put the scare in me when I saw it.

I know that sounds intimidating, but it's not that scary.

You see, they take that 'bad seed' and mix it with like a billion others

then run the whole thing through a centrifuge and freeze it.

What you end up with is a super-concentrated wad of seed.

Trust me, it's a LOT easier and cheaper than 'The Evil Endometrium'.

if you're scared of really annoying kids it's probably pretty good. It was different so it had that going for it.

Agreed. I put that movie in mine because of the historical influence it spawned. Anything and everything from Rec to Paranormal Activity was made in part because of how successful the video camera perspective was.

BWP really just revived found footage. Cannibal Holocaust did it first and better.

Funny you mentioned that movie. Did you know that the professor in that movie was in Debbie Does Dallas?

Galaxy of Terror Scene....hokey as hell but somewhat nice. Big tiitied blonde get attacked by giant maggot that rips her clothes and slimes her. By the end of the scene she's moaning and glistening.

As a kid, Creature from the Black Lagoon askeered the Bejeebus outta me.

Now, it's hard not to chuckle watching it. But boy, did it do a number on me!

No but I knew he did porn. He was fully nude in a bunch of cannibal movies before that. Looked pretty hung, I guess. :dunno:

That was one of the better old monster movies, agreed.
