I'd probably agree. Tical and Only Built for Cuban Linx are solid too. Liquid Swords doesn't have a single bad track though.

They're both really good. For my money Liquid Swords is the only Wu Tang album that may be better than 36 chambers.

I understand not liking rap but anyone who has listened to Fear of a Black Planet or The Low End Theory and thinks all rap has no merit is an idiot.

I wouldn't say there's no merit. There really artistic merit to be found in the videos and I can appreciate it better if I put the sound on mute.

Still, in my case, I try to avoid all rap music anyway because I have an allergy. It causes instant headaches. I've got to admit, Fear of a Black Planet sounds exactly like the kind of video I don't want to watch even on mute.

I would never try to convince someone who doesn't like rap to like it. But to dismiss it all as crap or without any artistic merit is ignorant IMO. Every genre produces something if quality.

Fear of a Black Planet is like the White Album of rap. If you can't appreciate it you just don't like rap which is fine. But it was hugely innovative and still sounds great today.

Eminem had a middle stretch where his stuff was bad and his relapse album was weak. Every artist has a weak album but since thay he's been mostly back to good Eminem again. For example the video I linked above of him and Lil wayne. Whenever he appears on someone else's song he is always the best verse. He did a few duos with Rihanna. And his recovery album was good. It wasnt the slim shady or marshall Mathers LP or Encore but still good

His duos with rihanna while catchy, were ultra ghey and whiney.

Not even close. Method man is teenaged girls favorite rapper. Redman is your favorite rappers favorite rapper. I believe eminem said redman was his favorite of all time.

Three things.

1. Mobb putting out Guru is a great call

3. MDC putting GZA's Liquid Swords out there is nice.

2. listen2me23 is a retard

Not sure if im just getting old, but modern rap just sucks.

I like a rapper named Logic, but thats it.

I don't like rap much. Some of it is fun. But the lyrics are almost always ridiculously juvenile.

I especially hate the trend of nice songs that then have a rapper come in. "See you again" or "good life" for example.

modern rap sucks because its more and more industry created artists like Drake

wasnt he a teen drama TV show actor before he became "Drake"? I wouldn't know but I would guess he doesn't write his own stuff either.

i never saw them like that. his verses were good and lyrics were great. 'Love the way you lie' had a dramatic, whiny quality to the song in general but 'Monster' didn't at all.

This is a good song but again, Eminem blows drake, kanye and wayne out of the water. not that being better than those 3 says much

i can probably only think of one of their songs although I do personally know their manager (or former manager not sure) and they are from Jersey i believe.

Some of 'the Used', some 'Simple Plan', most all Fallout Boy, 'Something Corporate' which became 'Jacks Mannequin' which is very light and relaxing music actually.... and the singer went solo a year or two ago with a song you probably heard a lot on the radio

but mostly it was a song or two here and there from various bands.

For the most part thats how I choose my music. Songs more so than groups/artists. Very few groups/artists that I am die hard loyal to.

Something Corporate is back together and touring
