Hunt's current trade vaule in ppr

Recommended Posts

Agree lets go Hunt.

I don't understand how he's lasting into the fourth round.

He's the rb1 with KC.

He has no one behind him pushing him for his job.

You could hold him or maybe his value is at an all time high. Hard to tell at this point. I'd try to move him for a guy like Baldwin or Cooks. Maybe your current 1/2 WR and him for AJG or Michael Thomas. If you get one of those guys you'd be selling him at his ceiling and it would be a super safe move. I remember when NYG's top RB went down several years ago and everyone that had David Wilson thought they had already won their league. I remember having Davontae Booker last year and everyone was saying after CJ went down he was a top 10 back and a league winner. The smartest thing I could have done was trade him at the height of the hysteria.

I would say that because you have Hunt, you could actually trade someone like Murray and command more in return. You are definitely stacked at RB IMO. (I have 3 of the same and am very pleased: Murray, Hunt and Martin)

I was able to get Hunt in the 14th round so he's pure value for me right now. After reading this and looking at the rosters in my team I was considering trading him and another player for Gronk. Any thoughts on that?

As a big Hunt fan, I'd be cool with that; although I really don't even think you need to include another player tbh.

Hunt went 24 in my draft on Tues, and Gronk went 30, so they're ADP is equal right now.

But if the other guy will force you to give up more, then I'd probably be okay with one of my better bench players, or my starting TE since Gronk is such a special talent. You shouldn't have to give up another premier player though.

I like doing 2 for 1s like this early in the year, even if for a nominal improvement at one position, as the waiver wire is literally flooded right now with good upside guys, so moves like this allow you to increase your starters while still getting an extra free agent pickup.

Another surprise, even with Ware out, CJ Spiller can't even make the cut.

Hunt going to take up all the carry he can carry.

Spiller is like Chris Johnson; teams can't afford the luxury of a backup RB who doesn't play special teams.

I'm not surprised. Spiller is all promise and no delivery.

I am so pissed. I had the #9 spot and drafted Evans and then Zeke with the intention of getting Hunt in the 3rd round. He has never went that early in any of my drafts. BUT the guy picking right before me drafted him in the 3rd round. It really hurt my draft with Zeke being out for maybe 6 games. I did get McFadden, but I think I will be chasing rb points until week 7.

14th?????????? What kind of league are you in? A league of the uninformed?

Hunt went of 12th in a draft of mine last night. He wasn't going to make it past 21. People have thrown him into the rookie love blender with Leonard and Christian.

Crazy how fast he is rising.

Got him for free in one league before injury. After injury got him in 3rd round (2 keepers league).

Now he is going in the first round?? Dam.

Honestly, I like Cook and Hunt more than Fournette and Mcaffrey base on their team situation.

Or maybe, just maybe my draft was before Ware got hurt. Maybe. It is also a 10 team league.

Same here man. If Fournette went to Minni and Mccaffrey went to KC, I would reverse it but im more in on Cook and Hunt for sure.

On the Hunt trade value, I just traded Luck/M. Gordon/Perine for Wentz/Hunt/M. Bryant. It is my belief that the difference between Gordon and Hunt will be minimal, Hunt may even outscore him, for what it's worth.

Just did two high-stakes drafts tonight. Hunt went 2.3 and 2.4. :shocking:

I thought for sure going into the weekend I would get him with my second-round pick picking out of the #4 and #7 slots. Now I have my doubts.

In my auction league Hunt went for the most money among rookies. This was a bit unexpected, but if you think about it, you are looking at a player who runs behind a decent O line, who has the starting job and plays in a system where the RB is always productive.

no real big question marks.

fournette plays on a team that has traditionally not done well with the run, and has a subpar line.

Mixon plays on a team that does well with the run, but lost 2 starting O linemen in the offseason, and has two players who could split carries or take the job if he doesnt get it done. To boot, he has issues fumbling.

Cook plays on a team with a subpar o line, has a player in Latavius Murray who could split carries (or retain the starting job) and he has issues fumbling.

McCaffrey May not start, I think the line is okay, but not great, he has JStew on the roster who may retain the starting job)

so there are questions around all of these guys of sorts.

probably half will be good, half wont get it done (not this year anyways) and Hunt has no issues even though he may not be quite where the others are talent wise.

anyhow, I thought I'd throw this out for you guys.

With the exception of PFF ranking the Vikings OLine at 14th back in June, I think those are all reasonable thoughts. In my keeper league the day after Ware got hurt (before we knew how bad it was), I turned my 1st round and 3rd round picks (5 keeper league) into Cook and Hunt, and I'm feeling good about those decisions. I had pick #3, and my choice of all the rookies except Fournette, who went at #2, and was fighting with Mixon for lowest of this bunch anyway. Of course, had the news come back that Ware was out 4 weeks, maybe not great for me.

I think McC is going to be fantastic at some point--maybe not this year, maybe--Fournette will be solid, likely Mixon. But as you say, too many question marks.

That may well, be but while I think the line will be improved from last year(which was terrible), I dont think it will be improved by that much. that being said, Cook went for a pretty good price too.

but this league is pretty astute on a lot of things, and the bidding war was on Hunt and (to a lesser degree) Cook. not so much the others.

Well, I'm thinking today's well-timed Matt Nagy quote did it. I snagged Hunt at 2.09 tonight and feel damn lucky I did. Even if this is a slight RBBC for the first 2-3 weeks, I see it as a good thing for Hunt in that he may be better able to last the season.

I was wondering if that tidbit was going to have that effect. Andy Reid is no fool though. He has Charc's stats just like anyone else.

He went at the end of the 2nd round in our league... IMO he should be considered as valuable as that... like a Leonard Fornette or Dalvin Cook type player
