MDC 5,923 Posted March 7, 2018 Regardless of party, caring about this shiot became obsolete the second Clinton got a pass on all the shiot that he did. Didnt Trump live stream a panel he hosted with several Bill Clinton accusers a year and a half ago? Now we find out he bribes hookers to keep them quiet.
SaintsInDome2006 128 Posted March 7, 2018 I don't think Russia is having any difficulties selling their oil, sanctions or not. Especially since there aren't any. Obama didn't feel the need to go there. Why would Hillary? They made such a sweet deal with the uranium. You guys have lost it. Russia's economy is roughly the size of Netherlands plus Belgium, it's not much, and it's controlled by a handful of oligarchs who very much feel the pinch. The sanctions are a big deal to Putin and his kleptocrats. But since this is a Stormy thread I think the tie in isn't so much that as just the fact that the Russian government has done such things to others and also it's clear Trump is susceptible to such things. Again just look at what happened with Stormy.

patweisers44 706 Posted March 7, 2018 Disbarment, $800,000 settlement, his wife's two presidential runs severely damaged, millions in legal fees, permanently ruined reputation, and millions of Republicans who hate him. Thanks. I guess I should have said "Politically, what came of that?" which was basically nothing. Not trolling here, honestly. Bill Clinton had a long list of transgressions, etc that never seemed to affect him politically. The one point you make I would argue is his wife's presidential runs being severly damaged. I would think Bill's transgressions (in and of themselves) are about 20th on the list of things that affected Hillary's chances. Also, weren't his legal fees covered by donor's or some sort of fund?

I'm not sure who paid the settlement, but it's not as if the Clintons got a free ride, they did spend out a lot in that lawsuit and investigation. Personally to me I think the main thing was how much the scandal left a burning pyre of disgust on the part of conservatives. I don't think it's unfair to say Trump is surpassing Bill Clinton's deeds with this one.
