****Official 90s Music Draft Thread**** (Complete)

Recommended Posts

I get the pleasure of being the first to pick a NU Metal band. While this kind of music didnt age so well the deftones sound to this day is still relevent and they continue to put out high quality music while peers are cringe worthy at best.

I've got 5 songs I want to pick at this turn. This is like a poker game, man this is tough, but fun. :D

Tool >>>>>>>>>>>>> your bands to date.

The late 90s are a bit of a blur; my son was born in 96 so I was listening to Barney and similar shiot, plus I had started a new career at that time. I totally missed the Tool wagon. But in the past year or so I've been introduced to them, largely because the trainer at our gym loves Tool and whatever Pandora station he plays seems to always call this song up during the workout. IMO there are two Tool songs from the decade that absolutely need to be represented here, and this is my favorite, in fact my favorite song right now.

3.16 Forty Six and 2 - Tool

They are on the Mount Rushmore for me of opening riffs to suck you in. Plus I recently posted a video of an (I think underage, sorry) girl playing drums on this.

You ever see this ?

I'm not going to say it was on my list because I am sure it was somewhere on everyone's list.

Fantastic song. Great Pick

Mebbe a bit early, but like you said, Fantastic song

Wait......what? Bunnys pick? You have a Bunny? You picked the wrong song. Breaking The Girl was it. And not that early.

I'm going to write this again. Stop being a fool to fantasy drafts you read. What would want on a cd going cross country in a car with your wife/friends? A mixed tape for better words.

Shakes head!!!

She's making the picks. I'm taking the heat. Just like every guy in any relationship.

I don't know the last two picks. At all.

I'm fairly sure you'll be saying that on a few more picks of mine

After further geek counseling...

4.9 Killing in the Name - Rage Against the Machine

I found out about RATM; after following a local hardcore punk band, Inside Out, from Orange County, California. Saw them for the first time in 1991, w/ Tool, RHCP, Janes Addiction, NIN, and several other aforementioned picks, at the first LollaPalooza festival.

good job, I was there too in SD, between this and the X-fests 91-94 were unreal music times as an 18 year old in SD

There are so many bands already picked that I have back up songs for and maybe some of them even better. So where do I go from here.

Pulling the trigger on

4.10

Enema

Tool

So many tool 90's to choose from but this is tops for me.

Speaking of tool. The Pot (2000's) is fantastic as well

Awesome, some great parenting there. :D That song is all about the bass and drums leading things; both of them were spot on.
