Nice. Get Into the Pit.

Back in the day with various punk bands, I loved going into the pit. Nowadays, I'm not too sure I'd venture in.

"The Pit" lost what it was supposed to be (in my mind) a long time ago.

Testaments song Into the Pit was right in the pit wheelhouse

Well mutha f'er, I cant post from my phone as my password doesn't work even though I just tested it here and it did

so sorry for the delay

also, I totally thought this was going in my 90's for sure, but now I am a pissed that Something I can Never have - NIN was released in 1989, I would have taken it in the 2nd round there

so with that in mind NIN was one of my top bands of the 90's and Trent Reznor is one of the most gifted musicians of the time, so I give you

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7_Te7iDojA

in this video you get to see an awesome appearance by David Bowie (RIP) and Trent is all giddy with excitement

2.08 Hurt - Nine Inch Nails

2.09 - Creep - Radiohead

The debut single from one of my favorite bands. A song for everybody thats ever been rejected or felt out of place. The first major group to go on to release a completely free album on the web. Pushing the boundaries between rock and electronic, Radiohead are pioneers and inspirations of countless bands that have followed.

1.8 Thunderstruck - AC/DC

The video wasn't posted since TEK was covering for me. It just so happens that this craptastic decade features my all time favorite AC/DC song and the one song I was willing to pass on Enter Sandman to get.

--------------------------

2.11 Blaze of Glory - Jon Bon Jovi

Maybe it's because I have a chip on my shoulder. Just because rap and grunge kicked hard rock and metal in the teeth this decade, doesn't mean that I agree or feel compelled to be suckered into picking any of it. Blaze of Glory is far superior to anything the lot of these bands put out.

the 90's is when Bon Jovi got super soft, he might as well transition to Caitlyn now

I'd not taken that though. I left it for others.

Damn it. How did I forget about Radiohead?

And walking in Memphis? That is like the official song there. Im not prepared adequately for this.

I thought it would drop. Love that song. But it wouldn't matter because I'm not making the picks. She knows the 90s better, but when she tells me what song she targeting I have to bite my tongue. I'm thinking but what about this or that. But I shut up and let her do her thing. After all the idea was so she could enjoy being in the draft.

Memphis.

When we had preliminary thread insaid there was 2 songs out of my genre that I really wanted. Walking in Memphis was one of them.

I really thought the only competition I had was TBBOM for obvious reasons. So I snagged it early

The other ? We shall see.

I was leaning Radiohead - Creep and ...she gone. I hate to select a second song from an already drafted artist this early but this was also huge.

2:12 Come as You Are - Nirvana

2.13- Jump Around- House of Pain

How this isn't the first rap song picked is puzzling. Even guys like me that hate the stuff loved this song. Plus it mentions Sho' nuff. And John McEnroe.

Nice...I wanted it at some point just for the Badger football connection.

Ugh, 15 rounds won't be nearly enough for me to cover everything...well, since I wanted to focus on lesser known songs from my favorite bands I'll get the other stuff picked early.

2.15 Black or White - Michael Jackson

I tried to explain to her this would probably drop to her next pick. She said STFU TEK. I went rock and this time I'm going R&B. I want a MJ song in my line up and this is his only big hit of the decade.

Nice pick. That and Wanted Dead or Alive are my favorite Bon Jovi songs. Actually they are about the only ones I like. But I really really like them.

You never know what'll fall. It just takes one guy. Look at all the consternation over Walking in Memphis.
