lickin_starfish 1,482 Posted August 13, 2018 I'm currently in a road trip from CNY to Colorado. Nothing but corn fields as far as the eye can see, except for Gary Indiana, which is absolutely the shiitiest dump hole I've ever seen in my travels. Staying overnight in Grinnell Iowa, which is also pretty seedy. So far, we've seen desolate farm land and poverty stricken cities. My advice is to fly instead of driving, and save yourself from witnessing the despair of Middle America.

titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted August 13, 2018 Nah. Even the sh!tholest American city is nice as Fock compared to a real third world sh!thole. I just spent a week in Manila. That place is a hole. It has fabulously wealthy condo developments and top notch shopping malls and restaurants... with guards armed with riot shotguns. Driving down the street, you are constantly plagued by small children begging. In traffic. The worst Ive ever seen would be Jakarta indonesia though. That place is a focking pit. lickin_starfish 1,482 Posted August 13, 2018 New twist on the trip: I woke up this morning and checked the security cameras back at home in NY. Saw my wife driving on the driveway that was sealed less than 24 hours ago. Fooking retard.

patweisers44 697 Posted August 13, 2018 El Paso, TX is the shittiest dumphole in America. A couple of Michigan's biggest cities would argue that point. But at some point its all relative and they all become tied for last place.

The Chicago burbs are nice, mostly, but you don't get to see them from I 80, which is the route I assume you went. I drive through NW Indiana every day currently. Gary is a place no one goes unless they live there, which I don't know anyone who lives there. The far Eastern portion of IL is pretty rough. The rest of the state that you see from the interestate is boring.

This new rail system that's slated for completion by 2021 will make the trip from Mich City to Chicaco exactly 60 minutes. It's currently 100 minutes. This will make commuting from NWI more appealing to many who want to get out of IL.

There are radio ads playing in the Detroit area about moving to Gary cause the car insurance rates are significantly lower. While this is true, it takes ballz for the Gary tourism board to decide to advertise anywhere...but Detroit is the choice. He ha ha
