Streaming DST for Week 10

I picked up the Chiefs last week and was "ok" with the results vs Cleveland. Jets vs Bills this week or Chargers vs Oakland are the marquis match-ups and I was planning on making a claim for one of them. Then realized Chiefs vs Arizona may be at least as good. Chiefs defense is starting to look better and game script puts bad teams in passing situations for 3/4 of the game.

 

Who else are we looking at?

Colts at home against Jacksonville. Interesting, but off the bye week and with Fournette healthy (at least until he tries to run) I think Jacksonville has a decent game this week, so no Indy for me.

 

Bills @ NYJ could be ok. Darnold did throw four ints last week.

 

49ers at home against NYG. Ok, so the 49ers aren't a good defense, but they do have 24 sacks on the year and it's not like the NYG offense is totally awesome.

 

Unfortunately for me, KC/NYJ/LAC are all already rostered.

Fitzmagic will make some plays, but he's an interception machine.

 

Washington gets the Giants (Eli; need I say more?) in Week 14, Blake Bortles in Week 15, and an inconsistent Mariota in Week 16.

This is where I'm at. What worries me is the lack of offense and their defense ALWAYS being on the field. Basically I'm hoping for 2pts out of my defense but I'm worried they will get torched as well. I'm almost to the point of rolling without a defense unless it's a slam dunk matchup.

I am pairing them with HOU rest of season. They have great matchups in weeks where the other doesn't basically ROS.

I saw Minnesota was dropped in my league, they are ranked well rest of this season so I am thinking of picking them up and holding 2 DSTs this week.

Minny is on a BYE, hence the need for 2 DST. In any event, I normally have 2 or 3 DST by week 11/12. Make sure you have playoff DSTs set while the rest of the league goes FAAB bidding for there streamers.

 

Of course you need to be dropping guys that are WR4/RB4 and not likely to help other teams in playoffs.

If you won the title with a monster game from your DST playing the Giants you could add some more fire to the Giants thread

I have always done this. Now it has caught on in my league over the years and there are only like 5 defenses left not owned at this point in the year. And for good reason they are not owned. But I'm all good with Dallas, Indi, and Minni. I don't need some backup WR that has 30 targets on the year so far.

Like, yeah? I did? What's the difference between trading Goodwin for NE or claiming a defense and dropping Goodwin?

 

Weird perception that people won't trade for defenses when it's a point producer. I tried for Chicago before last week but the guy delusionally wanted Josh Gordon.
