That doesn’t mean you’ll get it the first time you’re exposed.  But yes, when you get exposed many times you’ll probably get it eventually.   If the rate at which the unvaccinated get it is higher than the rate at which the vaccinated get it, then it’s greater than 0% effective.

You already asked this.  A lot of younger people and the CDC have different objectives.  The CDC wants people boosted to maximize protection against infection.   But most people just care about not getting really sick or dying.  And 2 doses still work extremely well at reducing the risk of hospitalization & death for people under ~50 (and not bad at all for people over 50, but the booster does give a significant increase for them)

Agreed.  In highly vaccinated areas, lockdowns likely saved countless deaths by delaying cases until the vaccines were available.  But if you’re not going to get vaccinated, locking down is really just delaying the inevitable.

But the point of those charts is to show how many deaths the vaccine saved, as New Zealand is seeing minimal deaths despite a huge spike in cases.
