The point of the last post was moreso to call out that Campbell also has an army of sheep that will defend whatever the guy says, which reminds me of you.  And like 99% of the time they haven’t even read the study/data he’s talking about.

I think it would be more accurate to word it like the AP, "has not been proven to be effective."  Also I feel like there is some conflation between Ivermectin's effectiveness as a prophylactic and/or very early onset, vs. severe cases (not effective in the latter).  But you follow this stuff much more closely than I do.

I think it would be more accurate to word it like the AP, "has not been proven to be effective."  Also I feel like there is some conflation between Ivermectin's effectiveness as a prophylactic and/or very early onset, vs. severe cases (not effective in the latter).  But you follow this stuff much more closely than I do.   

“Has not been proven effective” would have been accurate about 12-18 months ago.

But since then there have been several large RCT’s (not the junk from “ivmeta”) showing no effect, so it’s probably pretty safe to say it doesn’t work for Covid.

Thanks.  Your second link seems like what I was talking about with the late-stage tests -- hypoxemia, hospitalization, death?  That doesn't sound like a prophylactic.

Did any of those studies you linked test it as a prophylactic?

I don't know if there was much in terms of as a prophylactic, but IIRC pretty sure there were some in the "early onset" category.
