My 12 yr old son’s art is selling around the US

Topps teamed up with various artists to remake 20 iconic baseball cards in limited numbers for their 2020 project. 
 

The cards are getting mixed reviews from serious collectors but the art world seems to like them, as evidenced by the sales.  
 

My son got inspired by the project and decided to make his own 1/1 Jeter card.  
 

I posted a pic of his creation on FB post and he’s now being commissioned to make over a dozen different cards from random collectors who want to encourage his love of baseball and art.

Hell no.  They’re all paying. So far the range is $10-$25 per card.

He’s only done the Jeter so far, but he’s been commissioned to do Reggie Jackson, Zion, Yount, and a bunch of others.   I could point you to the finished products when they’re done.

That's freaking awesome, congrats to your son!  This would be a great chance to play around with/learn about setting up web sites etc.

Also, does he plan to do any art for good players?

He’ll do any card he’s asked to do. 
His ideas for the Reggie Jackson and the Zion are really cool.    I can’t wait to see what he comes up with.

Jeez Vudu. I knew the business being shut down was tough, but putting your 12 year old to work to provide for the family really puts things into perspective. I hope you guys get back up and running ASAP.

1st one done and paid for.   A Reggie Jackson Yankees card where he’s wearing an Orioles uniform.   The little sh!t got $15 for it.  
 

Over 20 orders booked already.  Some have named their price but most are just paying whatever they want when they see the finished product.

It’s a little of both.   The art is cartoonish and not meant to be portrait quality.   
 

The Jeter was a Looney tunes theme and the Jackson was a Mr October theme where his hat and head were made to look like a jack-o-lantern.   
 

As a rule, I never post pics or personal info on this site so I have to figure out a way to the show the pics and remain anonymous.    
 

As for the overall talent, he has gotten a couple of awards from his school art projects and last year he was chosen to design the community pass card that all members use to gain entry to school events and activities.
