My auto-correct is always trying to goad me into slurs too.  Sometimes I think I should look into getting a new kike of phone.  🤔

He must have typed the word quite regularly for his phone not to auto correct it. I know from experience.

Vile? It's 100% true.

I can see you've been thinking about me these last few days. Rent focking free in your head.

Based on keyboard layout, his explanation is very plausible and likely truthful.

How was that a racist post?  He's right.  Black people complain about the use of the N-word, but they're constantly using it in their music and every day life.  CDub's point is that they're telling everyone not to use it, but they use it on a daily basis.  Either everyone says it or no one says it.  You can't have it both ways.

So it’s ok now to go back years and repost for a gotcha? You were whining about it just the other day.

I think that if they don't want it said, then no, they shouldn't say it.  Common sense says that what is in pop culture WILL BE used by everyone.  If that word is in their music, white people WILL say it.  If they use it in their every day conversations, white people WILL use it.  Simply, imagine being in a friend group where there's 3 black people and 3 white people where the black friends drop the N word all the time and then you say it the same manner they do, and they treat you differently after that... or chastise you for it?

I don't care if anyone says it, it doesn't bother me.  It apparently bothers black people.  So, like I said in my prior post, if black people don't want it said, then NO ONE should say it.  If they're ok with saying it to each other, but no one else, than that doesn't fly with me.  It's either open to everyone or no one.  I'm fine with letting black people decide.

So Jews, Italians, Polish people etc should not make derogatory jokes about their own people either?  I don’t see blacks saying the n word as really any different than that.

Help me out, I'm Italian.  What words am I supposed to be offended or degraded by, that are used in everyday society, in music, and pop culture?

Nope.  I guess I need some non-Italian to tell me that I need to be offended by it.

Lol more goalpost moving, it was just an example, obviously the n word is worse than any derogatory word to describe Italians (I’d maybe add guido or greasy).  What about for Jews?  Could probably add Asians to the list as well.

What goal posts?  Dude, you are so lost and deep in a hole to prove something isn't there.  You're the one making a false equivalency as justification.  Guido, greasy, daego, whatever... none of those offend me.  If they did, I certainly wouldn't broadcast it all over place or put it in a song.   I don't know about Jews.  What words/phrases are they offended by, then give me examples of Jews using it in everyday life, put them out there in society, or even make songs with those words or phrases in them.  Asians, yeah, apparently "Oriental" is an issue.  So is gook or slant eye, and other words like that.  Give me ONE Asian who uses those words as a staple in their culture in this country like black people use the N-word.  Where have you seen people running around using those words to offend Asians?  I never hear anyone use them.  My guess is because that since they don't like it and don't use it themselves, it basically fades out.  Weird how that would happen.

GFOH with your goal posts comment.  Pointing out that black people use the N-word everyday and ever making money on it's use, isn't racist.

Pointing out that black people say the word without actually saying it yourself (like you’re doing) isn’t racist.  Pointing out that black people say the word by writing it out 9 times is racist.  I can’t believe people are actually debating this, bizarro world in here

Well, I'm glad you're slinking away from your false equivalency.  At least you have some common sense.  Clearly not a lot though.  By writing it out "9 times" (I didn't count, I'm assuming you did), he's using that to make the point that black people say it all the time.... and he's right about that.  That's why it isn't racist.  A bizarro would indeed, where there are people in the  world who can't see that.

My point all along was that it is racist for a non-black to person say the n word.   Do you disagree?  You keep deflecting by saying “well black people should decide but if they decide yes then they shouldn’t either”

100% disagree.  I was actually thinking about this yesterday.  In the movie "Brian's Song" Brian Piccolo calls Gale Sayers the N word repeatedly in Gale Sayers basement and Gale Sayers just laughs his A$$ off.  Why would he do that?  Brian Piccolo is clearly a racist, right?

One person joking to a friend in private is a different scenario than someone saying it in a public forum, but I know you know this.

A scene in a 50 year old movie proves it's not racist for a white guy to call a black guy the n-word.

Sound logic.

Thanks for proving my point.  Situation and context matter.  It's not as black and white as If a white guy uses the N word it's racist, PERIOD, which is YOUR claim.  Now you're trying to add qualifiers.  You should have done that in the first place.  And THIS is why I've been ignoring your bait posts since last night.

They don't use it; the music industry uses it and makes it seem like it's normal. I didn't grow up hearing the word UNTIL it was used in rap, now it's everywhere. But it was pushed on the public. Based on rap, you'd think everyone was gang banger, drug dealer or stripper and everyone speaks like they were raised in the gutter. I was raised in a poor urban in environment and no one spoke the way it's portrayed in rap music or videos. It's an exaggeration or a select group, not the whole of us.
