I much preferred the days of Clinton with Gingrich keeping an eye on the spending side. Of course, both parties are very different than those days. I think that things are far too obstructionist now and we focus on hot button issues where there will be lots of fighting instead of common areas where bipartisan support could be had. 

We are pretty well focked with Congress and let's just hope they don't screw it up too badly.
