COVID was something no one could have "handled" but I will take people going back to work, and those numbers are not bad.... now the handing out of free money likely muted the return to work, but eventually the markets will right themselves....as long as government stays the fock out of it.

There are far too many "shortages" in certain sectors that would indicate people returned to work at their same jobs. Health care, teaching, law enforcement are just a few...and many of these people may have actually been FIRED during CoVid for various reasons. No kidding they wouldn't return to work. I think we forget that certain parties were calling for nurses and teachers to be FIRED if they refused to get vaccinated. Why would they return to such jobs?

Under Trump those jobs were gone.   Biden created the environment by which the economy was strong enough to support and need those jobs.

It has arisen, really over the last decade, that the importation of workers is an increasing solution for some areas of the service industry in particular.  Kids here want to work less and less.
