It all depends on where you live.  My daughter goes to public school, it's a great school, her BF goes to catholic school, I make fun of him all the time.  In talking to them she is getting a better education.  He learns more about religion.

The whole thing is geo-politics being engineered by very wealthy connected people who stand to make a lot of $ and influence from it. CNN is practically begging for war these days. It’s just sad.

Like I said, my daughter's BF goes to Catholic school, and I know other people that send their kids to catholic schools, they all say it's for religion.  The people that send their kids to the other private schools, they say it's for better education, but we all know it's for status.

When I went to Catholic school we had mass once a month.  Shortly after I graduated they went started doing mass every week.  Our priests are very involved in our Catholic schools but like you said, it's going to vary by each Archdiocese.

We funnel the latest military tech to the Ukrainians, they fight gallantly and with great courage,  a lot of Russians and Ukrainians are killed, the war goes on for months instead of days or weeks, and in the end the Russians take the provinces they want.     The end result is exactly the same as it would have been had we not giving the Ukrainians a single bullet, except for a lot more of them and the Russians die.  

In your narrow-minded vision - this is the more "moral" position to take?    We sit back from 8,000 miles away and point a firehose of money at them and all it accomplishes is that more people die?   That's what the "good people" like you want?

I don’t watch it - it’s on at the gym. Every headline is about a poor Ukrainian village etc. It’s sad that innocent people are dying but it’s also not our fight and the US arguably deserves some criticism for meddling in it.

No, but we have to be cold-hearted realists on the international stage.   If there is a war and we are going to get involved at any level, whether it's sending weapons or troops, there has to be a clear plan and path towards winning that conflict.   And if we aren't invested enough to do what would be necessary to win the conflict, then generally all our involvement does is prolong the agony.   

If you want to have a parade and we can both carry signs that say "I love Ukraine, Putin sucks", let me know when and where and I'll be there.   But we both know that does as much good for the Ukrainians as pissing on a spark plug.    But at least it will make the people in the parade feel good about themselves, right?

I don't have a yellow and blue flag in front of my house, Im not on social media so I didn't change my profile to be a "I Support Ukraine" banner, that sh!t is silly.  But I support everyone's right to fight for freedom, and I support the people of Ukraine to stand up to Tyranny, and I'm happy to see all countries doing what they can to help these people and punish Russia.  Nothing will change that, not Hunter Biden's laptop, some some biolabs, not other countries joining NATO, nothing.  Unless anyone can show me proof of Ukraine planning an overthrow of Russia, I am on their side.
