I think you missed my point.   In the Viet Nam example - we were fighting the war and it was the Chinese and the Russians who turned the fire hose of weapons onto the NVA.    Roles were reversed.   The Russians and Chinese were trying to "set us back 30 yrs".    What happened?    We lost 56K soldiers, the Vietnamese lost about a million people, and in the end - what was the difference?    Viet Nam would have reunified anyway, we still went on to become the world's leading superpower, Russia and China continued to be Russia & China.   All that was accomplished was that A LOT of people died, were injured, and the destruction that happened.    That's the only thing that ever happens when superpowers engage in proxy wars to set each other back 30 years. . .

The comparisons to Vietnam are valid, but for one.  Ukraine and Russia are neighbors. Russia isn't going half way around the world for some unknown purpose, this is practically a civil war.  Which makes our motives even more nefarious, IMO.  What is being gained by us, and why?

Dexamethasone is a cheap generic that has been proven to work against Covid.

Ivermectin is made by a multi billion dollar pharmaceutical corporation, so if it worked as well as the idiots think it does against Covid it would certainly add to their profits, even if it doesn’t cost much per dose.  “America’s Frontline Doctors” doesn’t seem to be having any trouble profiting off of Ivermectin.

I wonder if all the NATO and Obama lovers ever really read about what they did in Libya and the aftermath. It might be the worst thing our government ever did as far as foreign policy. Even worse than Iraq. But alas, Obama and Hillary had to get a pass, which in turn gave NATO a pass. A few prominent NATO countries refused to be a part of it. But Pimpadoosh and Vomit and Worms are all good with these matters when it’s their guy doing the bombing.

You want to talk about being a cold hearted realist on the international stage ... Putin is getting his army shredded with not one single NATO life being put in danger. The Ukranians are providing all the bravery and manpower. The alternative is to leave them unarmed and defenseless. Maybe they aren't interested in being occupied/conquered by Russia, maybe they remember grandma's stories of forced starvation the last time the Russians were in Ukraine and don't want to tempt fate, they want to be in control of their own destiny.

Um... Vietnam got arms from other countries and successfully kicked the invading country out. That's exactly the outcome we're looking for in Ukraine by providing them with arms.

There is so much about Libya and it’s aftermath. One notable aspect, as we see being played out in Ukraine, is you don’t give up your nukes and you should do whatever you can to get some. That Pygmy in N Korea will never give his up.
