Parts of NYC that were once fine have gotten worse. Like how Hells Kitchen is now full of homeless people. I know some of you drove through there to get to the tunnel a few years ago, but that’s not now. Plus the subways are a disaster. People living off the past need to pipe down . Things have changed. If you’re gonna be “street wise” as our resident clown/troll yaps about, maybe you need to walk the streets now, not in 2019. Y’all don’t know shite.

City's starting to take on a Dinkins era vibe - it's 20x worse than 2019, no doubt about that. The great Coof goof & the "peaceful" protests focked the City HARD. DeBozio was a disaster, will take years to dig out from this, if it can be done at all.

Jerry asked people familiar with NYC for some advice. Your advice sucks. So does some guys from Philadelphia who grew up in NJ and another one from NJ who never rode the subway once. And the best one is some guy who visited a few years ago from some hick town in the pacific north west. How about staying out of it if you weren’t asked? So it’s best to stay out of the obvious areas that have become worse in the last few years. Especially where the homeless have set up camp. But thanks for making my point. TimmySmith 2,783 Posted April 7, 2022 I have spent alot of time in NY City. I took the Subway whenever I moved around. In all my time there I did have one conflict with the locals that would have been ugly if not for bystanders. But I haven't been there in a few years and wouldn't pretend to know how safe it is today. I know this, I would have had no problem walking riverside park at night 10 years ago. I would think twice about doing it today.

Didn’t say a word about bad areas until clown/troll said Hells Kitchen was a good area. How he would know is a mystery. Even then I didn’t call him out. But you and the other band of libtards had to come jumping in with your half assed accusations. Why didn’t you just google “hells kitchen homeless” ? Seeing as you haven’t been there recently? Maybe you would pipe down and not look as stupid as you usually do.

TommyGavin 790 Posted April 7, 2022 I ride the subway everyday although just a few stops and every other car has homeless people sleeping on the seats. I don’t feel unsafe walking through Times Square and up 34th street to 7th Ave however I will say it’s a war zone of homeless and begging POS. Reason I say POS because it’s no longer “hey man can you spare some change” it’s now in your face “Gimme a ##### dollar !!!” Not a day goes by that this doesn’t happen to me. Scared ? No. Annoyed ? Hell yeah

Utilit99 4,099 Posted April 7, 2022 So basically, to sum it all up. For NYC to be a safe place to visit, you really gotta know what streets are safe to walk down and which ones to avoid. And if you make a mistake, you be focked. I suppose you could say the same about St. Louis, Detroit, Memphis, Baltimore, and Cleveland. All those super safe cities to visit if you know them like the lifers who live there.

I know rearing isn’t your strong point: It may surprise you to learn that living in New York City is not unsafe, as most folks assume. It’s hard to blame anyone for thinking that life in New York City could be dangerous. With 8.4 million residents, NYC is the most populous city in America and things are bound to happen. However, relative to its size, New York City is considered one of the top 5 safest large cities in America.
