Protester sues NFL player Bobby Wagner for crash-tackling him, ending a pitch invasion while carrying a smoke flare

Recommended Posts

If this guy wins this law suit, someone should pull a Goodfellas on him.

A protester who ran onto the field during the San Francisco 49ers' Monday night home game against the Los Angeles Rams has filed a police report after being tackled by Rams' linebacker Bobby Wagner.

Santa Clara Police Department Leutenant Cuong Phan confirmed to The Associated Press on Wednesday that the department has an active investigation of the incident, which meant he could provide few other details.

Wagner was gentle with him.  Dude is lucky someone with the temperment of chuck Bednarik did not tackle him.

That's it.  Memory fails.  Chuck knocked out Frank Gifford.  Curtis leveled the fan. And Nitschke, well he just made ball carriers soil themselves

It's a shame that Wagner didn't lead with his helmet.

It kinda looks like he did?

Nah.  I saw a video shot from the other side of the field. It's clear he used his shoulder.  I'll see if I can find that link.  Stand by.

You can tell by the way his right arm comes up after the hit.

Would have been nice to see a helmet to head shot.

Sadly, I can see this going poorly for Wagner......but the makeup of the participants might swing things his way.

I'm fine with what Wagner did.  If he's held accountable (financially), then the judge who finds in favor of the plaintiff, should be disbarred.  Every player at every sporting event will be at a higher risk from people running out on the field if this dipstick wins any money.

All the defense has to do is bring up the stabbings of the coach by a father/son duo at a White Sox game and the stabbing of Monica Seles on a court while in a match and that's enough grounds to say it's similar to calling it self defense cause they didn't know what the fock that dude was up to.

If you read the back of just about any sporting event ticket, there's a pretty sweeping bailment clause.

However, if I'm the agent or lawyer or friend of an NFL player? Dude, let security handle it.

What's with lack of security at SoFi stadium letting folks in with those smoke flares?  Same deal happened during season opening game with Buffalo.

That's what advice Monica Seles got and she got stabbed.

what if it was a pregnant man running onto the field and they tackle him?  the nfl would get sued out of existence.  he was probably just looking for pickles and ice cream.

I ws asking more about how they even got into the venue with the smoke flares.  At events out here you walk thru the regular metal detector and all bags must be clear plastic below a certain size.

From the look of these protestors, however, I'm guessing they probably smuggled the flare in via their/them prison wallet.

They're in California which has the dumbest, most pro-shitbag, nonsensical legal system ever created in the history of human civilization. Judges there are totally whack and love tonguing the buttholes of criminals and anyone else they meet in the Castro district, so who knows, maybe the focktard won the legal lottery.
