Were Matt Ryan and Russell Wilson taken over by aliens that don't know how to play QB in the NFL?

I took them +3.5 from the start and feel I'm still safe.

Yeah, even if they score a TD you are good at this point.

Best play of the night was the ref taking out a defender so the Broncos receiver could catch the ball. This might have been the sloppiest NFL game I’ve ever seen.

Best play of the night was  the last play of the game. I seriously wish they had tied though. That was a bad ending of a good bad movie.

The play where two Broncos were in the same place and fought over the catch?  :(

I have no words for that last play.  As a Cards fan that was Kliff at his suckiest playcallingest best.

If any of you need Wilson to turn into an all-pro QB, let me know and I'll drop him in both of my leagues.  That should guarantee your success.

for reference:

Seattle traded Wilson to the Denver Broncos along with a 2022 fourth-round pick in exchange for Drew Lock, Shelby Harris, Noah Fant, Denver's first- and second-rounders in each of the next two drafts as well as a 2022 fifth-rounder.

And saved $250 million not paying Russell Wilson for another 5 years.  I think we can already say Seattle won this trade.

We could have already said 2 seconds after it was made.  A Denver SB win is the only thing that could tip the scales. And they have to get by Kansas City, Buffalo, Cincy, Baltimore, Cleveland, and Miami somehow in the next 5 years.

Both have always been over rated during their careers and both are now faling off.  The Broncos were insane to pay an Aaron rdgers price to obtain Russel Wilson.  The Broncos deluded themselves.  as for the Colts, they too have deluded themselves, first with Phillip Rivers, now with Matt Ryan.  Chasingc hope, believing in best case scenarios will get you in trouble, and it has for both these teams.

They will get Watson back this year and will be SB contenders next year. Or even this year if they hang in there long enough.

It's Cleveland and will believe it when I see it. Talk about a team that gave up a ton chasing a pipe dream.

They have the weapons and Watson is Watson. He doesn't have anything to prove to me on the field.  And FYI they are 2-2 with 1and 3 point losses without him.

Who knows what Watson will look like his first couple weeks when he comes back, but if Cleveland can hang in there in that division, which I think they can, they can be SB contenders with Watson as QB. Cleveland WILL get their money's worth out of that guy unless he falls into an injury pattern after being out so long.

Unlike Denver, the Browns were already playoff quality with a QB need. Mayfield simply wasn't getting it done. Last year's Browns are easily a 12 win team with Watson.

Yeah it's nuts. Even hurting Atlanta:
Ryan is taking up almost $60 million of cap in 2022. On top of his Colts salary, he counts $40.5 million toward the Atlanta Falcons cap, according to Andrew Brandt.

I'm not sure but I think much of the cap counts against Atlanta next year. But I really don't get it all.

And I'm guessing BroncosWire had this back.

Russell Wilson’s five-year, $245 million extension has him under contract with the Denver Broncos for the next seven seasons, and the team is getting a franchise quarterback at a relative bargain price.

https://broncoswire.usatoday.com/2022/09/03/denver-broncos-russell-wilson-salary-cap-hits-on-contract/

relative bargain..lol

Man I love Fitzmagic.  His response to Sherman's rant was awesome.  I also give Sherman credit for managing to say g0ddang instead of g0ddamn considering how fired up he was.

You can include burrow into this subject too, he sucks-and his "improved" o-line is a bunch of cowardice puff-balls, a bunch of fat slobs that talk about what doughnut shop  they're gonna go to after the game-maybe order in for halftime. Buncha LOSERS, bungles won't even make playoffs this year.
