It upsets Mooney that people are talking about an actual trial.

Please let's not compare ANYONE to Trump when it comes to election denying.  The summ total of all dem election denials doesn't come close to Trump.  Not even close.  What is it with conservatives and their false equivalencies?

I assume you'll bring up 2000 next as an example of DEMOCRATIC ELECTION DENIAL!!!

I am less worried about Trump so much as the next President, regardless of party. The stage has been set that idiotic impeachments are ok, and I think that is bad.

But moreover back to the actual topic.  The lack of allowance on the left to challenge ideas and debate solutions is not a sustainable solution. It is not a Democracy, there is another word for that approach.

Meh.

The problem with these allegations and accusations is that its reflective of the great fable,  The Non Binary Person Who Cried Wolf.  There MIGHT be some legitimacy to these claims....but since theres been such a loud drumb beat of bullshittery for the past 6 years about "stolen elections" WITHOUT any real proof, it's made most reasonable people deaf.

It's not what you KNOW....it's what you can prove.

As is my right that many great men sacrificed for, I vote every November. Now, if I did something to invalidate my ballot then that’s on me. But if the state did something to invalidate my vote (right) then that’s on them and they should have to show why. This garbage excuse that it wouldn’t affect the outcome is just that, garbage. It’s my right and my voice should be heard, win or lose.  It’s not a football game. Like I say, these people that don’t get that aren’t Americans. They are democrats that just live here.

It sounds great......right? I mean, if the people you agree with are making the decisions then you are in a happy place.  But what happens, if that changes? What happens when you make sure "your people" position themselves to deprive others of their voice, and then "your people" are not there anymore?  Now that power has shifted to others, with other ideas....and you suddenly realize what you have done.

If your ideas were good.....you would not need to force them on others, they would be welcomed.... If people are pushing back on you, its time to take a step back and reflect, reconsider or perhaps better explain yourself.

Silencing/Banning/Suspending is force.  Cancelling is force.  Labelling others to induce hate upon them, is force....

If you are using force, then you are in the wrong....every time.....

Yeah, I don’t know about the pizza place being a hub of child trafficking and I don’t think Hillary is one. But those Podesta brothers are two creepy bastards and they use the same code words that child traffickers do. So that’s speculation. But what is true, and undeniable, is that the left approves of drag queens performing sex acts in front of kids, don’t think the school should have to inform parents that their children are playing the gender switch game at school, think boys and girls should share locker rooms and bathrooms, want sexually explicit books in the library, gave a standing ovation to a convicted fugitive child rapist at the Oscars, think minors should be able to have sex change operations, and on and on.   Sorry, libtards, you gotta own it. Just like we are supposed to own the boogaloo boys and Q. Cept one is real and happening, and the other exists mostly in your minds and has no standing.

Cuckoo…

When the conspiracy theory is publicly proven wrong, and you still to try hold onto one little piece of it? Just sad.

It’s just anti-gay and anti-transgender bigotry masked by pretending to care about kids.

So then we need to separate the "discoveries" of election issues from the outcomes and focus on what happened, how it happened and how can we position to impede it in the future.

I think in-person voting should be mandatory, with exceptions for those travelling abroad or who have a medial professionals written approval. No mail in.  I like that as a rule.

Then there needs to be a way to verify that people are who they say they are as far as humanly possible.

For those asking for investigations of what happened with the printer problems… it was covered during the trial. Approximately 1,200 ballots were printed wrong because the printer was set to “shrink to fit” accidentally. All these ballots were later duplicated onto the correct size and counted.

Quote

Her attorneys pointed to a witness who examined ballots on behalf of her campaign and discovered 14 ballots that had 19-inch images of the ballot printed on 20-inch paper, meaning the ballots wouldn't be read by a tabulator. The witness insisted someone changed those printer configurations, a claim disputed by elections officials.

County officials say the ballot images were slightly smaller as a result of a shrink-to-fit feature being selected on a printer by a tech employee who was looking for solutions to Election Day issues. They say about 1,200 ballots were affected by turning on the feature and that those ballots were duplicated so that they could be read by a tabulator. Ultimately, these ballots were counted, officials said.

Some of that is under the belief though that we have a bunch of people impersonating others to vote. I doubt that's happening.

I'm okay with doing mail-in voting, and ballot boxes and all but I'm also all for the security and integrity being amped up surrounding it all to ensure it is safe and secure. However, I assume for some not even that will be enough.

One school day he sent me 27 dm’s asking me the same exact question. He was making fun of people with autism. Can you imagine that was your kids teacher, sitting there unhinged sending DM’s to a stranger on the internet all day? Those kids deserve better.

I've asked you if you were autistic (did it on the board as well)- that is not making fun of autistic people. It is trying to understand someone you are discussing things with. And I mean if you are sent comments from someone the polite thing is to respond. I did.

Haven't you said you work in a school....cause you told me "That's how I know what goes on there."

Also- my students like me a lot. Parents like me a lot. The opinion of a random Internet guy who wishes kids get raped means nothing to me.

That I was in a conversation with someone in a back and forth and when it became clear the person wanted to just attack me over and over I just decided to stop any semblance of a real conversation and try to understand them by asking a question that they kept refusing to answer....

Yes.

27 times he asked me if I was autistic.  Amongst other embarrassing displays of women like emotions.

I'm blown away, this is supposed to be a silly place where we discuss a bunch of topics we probably wouldn't discuss with people we actually know. Yeah, we give each other shlt yadda yadda... BUT, some of you are actually broken. Mentally unstable, trying to explain away the interaction HT told us about is nothing short of psychotic. You sent a stranger on the internet the same question in a DM 27 focking times? WHAT THE FOCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?

Okay- this will be the only comment I will make on what HT is saying...then the thread can continue.

Almost 2 months ago in threads there were questions that HT kept ignoring in the flow of conversation. He also (and others) said they were tired of the constant bickering among people in the threads. So I messaged him the questions and that began a discussion back and forth for 2 days that basically ended with us both essentially saying "Let's just ignore each other on here." I was fine with that.

Quote

I think we can be ships in the night that pass and that be it if it needs to be. Maybe one day we will find common ground somewhere.

Like I said it’s a board for everyone. If what I’m participating in is going to drive people away or make for a very unpleasant experience  for them I’m going to back off. It’s not my wish. The more the better.

Then about 2 weeks later he started taking shots in threads. So I took a shot and on November 28th he sent me a message whining about me taking shots because "he wasn't." We messaged back and forth (again- keeping it out of threads). It then became him calling me a "," telling me to prove things and then when I did saying "I'm not looking up things in a 42 page thread, a hysterical woman, a coward, a neglectful parent, etc...it is in that thread I just kept asking him if he was on the autism spectrum...

So 27 messages (mostly at night- you know, off the clock, responding to his messages).

That's the truth. It is what it is. I will own my part of it, and I can take it out of the threads from here forward. I invite HT to hit the block button on me.

See how nice I was? He sent me the DM and I sensed he was in a fragile emotional state.  I’m not such a bad guy. But then he went off the deep end. Issues. Notice he left out the day he came unhinged? Yeah, I’ll spare him that embarrassing episode. It’s Christmas and I’m a Christian.

There has been evidence of it happening in the past, both by Republican and Democrat candidates.  It may not sway an election, but if they are trying to do it they seem to think it will, and that is enough to implement some simple measures to protect the election.

Oddly, the main reason people are suspicions of the elections goes back years, we can look at even the Bush/Gore election as a source of concern. Protecting the election is just what we should be doing, but in doing so we also reassure people, prevent the suspicion etc.  It is a useful endeavor on more than one front to protect the elections.
