I'm toying with the idea of a self-imposed trolling suspension if the results stand, like perhaps for a month. 

I'll refrain from using the terms "MAGAtard," "Clownzo" and whatnot.

I'll focus on heartwarming cat stories, musings and various household objects I manage to shove up my poophole with the aid of habanero sauce.

Not sure whether to refrain from political talk altogether or restrict it to mature, thoughtful and respectful conversation.

That goes for the Ukraine thread as well. 

I welcome suggestions to crystalize the parameters of this.

But this year was a total disaster for me. 

I'm in a league with a bunch of hardcore bikers who came up with the idea that the loser had to get a tattoo of the winner's choosing. 

Well, my original handle Rusty Syringes didn't come out of nowhere. It's based on a fear of needles, and rusty ones would be the worst, stepping on one at the beach or something. (I did overcome the syringes fear and give myself allergy shots for years, because it was $20 a week if I did it at the clinic.) So no focking way was I getting a tattoo, particularly an undesirable one. It wasn't an original idea anyway.

So the league pivoted to a loser playoff bracket, and the loser had to spend 24 hours sitting in a Waffle House or forfeit the No. 1 pick. I wound up losing despite having what looked like a pretty great lineup on paper. Herbert. Henry. Chubb. Lamb. Stevenson as flex. 

There isn't a Waffle House anywhere near me, so in the aftermath of the Damar Hamlin injury, I asked if it would be OK to donate money to the American Heart Association instead of wasting time at the Waffle House, and they were more than happy to grant me that.

I made the final game in this league last year and have had a long line of success, but this year has forced me to think differently.

Your incessant whining about my posting is tedious, and I honestly don't care what you think about it. TK and I get along just fine over at The Sanctuary, where there is a whole forum dedicated to political discussion, and I don't engage in it. 

I do think those with whom you share the far-right political mindset underscore the wrong direction for this country. The House for the next two years will spend its time embroiled in gotcha legislation, useless hearings and infighting among Republicans. By the time 2024 rolls around, people might be so tired of the House antics that a blue wave ensues.

I don't whine about your posts other than the ones directed at me, and a great deal of what I post isn't actually trolling. I've provided a lot of thoughtful, well-sourced counterpoints to the MAGA position. I genuinely disagree with most of the views on that end of the conservative spectrum. It's extreme, divisive, uncompromising and unrealistic.

I'm not on some clever crusade. I find the reactions to my posts wildly entertaining.
