What are you getting your Mom for Mother's Day?

This year I'll be giving my Mom a gift certificate to a local flower nursery.  I considered going the usual un-original FTD route but then decided she'd probably enjoy picking out and planting her own flowers.

Times like these I wish my parents had separate cell phone numbers so that I can text my Dad and ask her what nursery she goes to.  Instead I had to use Google Maps to find out what ones were nearby. 

I'll of course be giving all of YOUR moms the usual pearl necklace.

That's a really nice gift; so nice that I almost feel bad about pointing out that you can use a cell phone to actually speak with people, and were you to do that with your dad you could find out the info you wanted.  Almost.

My brother and I struggle with this more and more each year.  My parents are retired and have just about everything they need.  Usually get them a gift card to one of the restaurants near them.

i get her the same thing every year.  Orchids.  

Occasionally, I have given her Roses, Tulips, whatever...and I always get a call saying that I made a mistake and should only get her orchids. I've learned my lesson and the answer will always be ORCHIDS.
