I feel very strongly that this issue is going to cost the democrats dearly at election time. Not just with respect to the top of the ticket, but down ballot as well. I hear people's frustrations about it all the time in the circles I frequent and many of them are very independent/neutral in their political stances. 

I think the democratic party has yet to tune in to how much this issue has people upset. If they don't figure it out soon, it's going to be a blood bath in November and not in their favor.

 But what can they do? Reverse their own policies that they said they couldn’t do anything about? No, their plan is, of course, to blame it on republicans, which they are doing now. People aren’t going or buy it. It’s evident who caused it.
