IGotWorms 4,057 Posted October 24, 2023 Down goes another one: WashingtonCNN — Former Trump campaign lawyer Jenna Ellis has pleaded guilty in the Georgia election subversion case to one count of aiding and abetting false statements and will cooperate with Fulton County prosecutors. Prosecutors are recommending five years of probation and for Ellis to pay $5,000 in restitution. Ellis delivered a tearful statement to the judge Tuesday while pleading guilty, disavowing her participation in former President Donald Trump’s unprecedented attempts to overturn the 2020 election. “If I knew then what I knew now, I would have declined to represent Donald Trump in these post-challenges. I look back on this experience with deep remorse,” Ellis said, her voice breaking at times. She also said, “I failed to do my due diligence.”

Not on everything that he has been charged with. The testimony of the "flippers" will not only prove the crime(s) happened but also Trump's intent (which is crucial to getting a conviction on many of the counts). Other than a Trumpy jury Trump is donezo. I'll be he pleas to the Fed January 6th case.

Dozer FBG 324 Posted October 25, 2023 Light reading for our local sedition caucus: True the Vote Voter Intimidation Case Goes to Trial in Georgia From Sidney Powell, Kenneth Chesebro and Jenna Ellis’s plea deals, John Eastman’s possible disbarmentand two pending election subversion indictments amounting to 17 counts against former President Donald Trump, courts are slowly starting to hold Republican “Big Lie” architects accountable for their dangerous attempts to subvert democracy. But there are others who need to be held accountable as well: those who instilled doubt in our electoral process and those who attempted to interfere with voters’ right to vote. “True the Vote launched the largest mass voter challenge in Georgia history.”

On the other, we have wrongmx, a wannabe right-wing stormtrooper who believes nothing unless the explanation involves an elaborate conspiracy perpetrated by bootlickers and brownshirts. And yet ironically chafes when presented with evidence of ACTUAL conspiracies, perpetrated by HIS OWN bootlicking, brownshirt brethren. Which has a better grasp of US law? Since you bolded it and all. You weren't here, but in the past, as a systems engineer, I've shown that introducing an untested mail-in process in a bunch of states is the opposite of "most secure." But perhaps Meadows has more systems experience than I do. 15 hours ago, Dozer FBG said: No Jon. They a getting reduced or dropped charges in return for their testimony. That’s how RICO case work. jonmx 2,424 Posted October 26, 2023 Here is what these plea deals say. "...the defendant shall be completely exonerated of guilt of the said offenses." And what is the condition... "...the defendant shall testify truthfully" Considering that these defendants are already required by law to testify truthfully, the prosecutor has secured absolutely nothing. So basically in the cases of the biggest crime in American history we have defendant after defendant given deals where they are completely exonerated upon completion of the terms (follow the law), and we have the government media putting out headlines declaring victory and all the trained braindead minions cheering. Stupidest thing I have ever seen.
