Newsom can't get Middle America to vote for him. At all. Under any circumstances. The DNC will have to cheat again. 

He's also had more affairs with his staffers. At least one, likely more, and while that won't sink him entirely, it will force him to take another hit with suburban women voters, which is where he's supposed to make up ground for Team Blue. His current wife, she was noted as being a "bag man" for Harvey Weinstein, to clean up some of his sexual scandals. So that dovetails back to Epstein as well. 

David Axelrod is basically Obama's version of Bib Fortuna. His personal hatchet and majordomo. Axelrod has stumped for Newsom non stop for the last year, which means Obama cut a deal with Pelosi. The thinking is likely that Newsom's slim chance to win is better than Biden's zero chance to win in a "free and fair election" And if Newsom loses, then the hope is that he can create enough of a down the ticket impact to stave off too many losses in Congress. 

This is, as you astutely point out, a huge mess for Team Blue. If they try to prop up Newsom, who is the archetype of "white privilege", how can they push identity politics when they have to shove the first black female VPOTUS to the curb to do it? Also Newsom will need a minority female running mate, and who is that going to be? And how will that look perception wise? You keep screaming about systemic racism and now you have the human wealthy real life Ken Doll, with a backup who has to bend the knee to him. Which is even more hilarious since the minority female right now with the biggest name recognition factor left for the DNC is Ocasio Cortez. And Obama, Axelrod, Rice and the establishment Democrats totally despise her. They despise all the Progressives and the socialists in the Party. 

The icing on the cake is that the perfect candidate for them on paper would have been Tulsi Gabbard. A veteran, like you, and a minority woman who can handle the press and appeal to the working class. Still young, beautiful and has a decent grip on basic foreign policy. Not a caricature level idiot like Gretchen Whitmer or Pete Buttigieg or Cory Booker or any of those nimrods. But the DNC had to get rid of Gabbard, since she couldn't be controlled. 

Team Blue is in a tough spot because they are corrupt, but more than that, they are totally incompetent at being corrupt. I think you generally give them far more credit than I would. They literally have all the horses. They have most of Big Social Media, Big Tech, Hollywood, Big Education and most of the MSM and they still can't put the GOP away for good. How pathetic is that? How do you have that much total firepower and still suck so bad that an idiot like Trump is still a viable contender?

What's ironic is Joe Biden wrote the 94 Crime Bill, which was seen as overly punitive to those who committed crimes involving drugs. But his downfall was accelerated by two crack heads in his own household. I disagree with @RLLD most of the time, but I'm with him in his consistency. You all seem to think we're trying to dance around and defend Biden's crimes. Speaking for myself, thats not the case. The evidence thus far is somewhat damning, but there's not enough to impeach. You get enough real, verifiable evidence that he accepted money illegally and I'm all in favor of impeachment. All I've seen so far is a lot of people yelling "fire" when all they see is a tiny, cigarette sized plume of smoke.

Think about how terrifying that was for establishment Democrats and their corporate overlords.

They had the largest political financial warchest in American political history. No one has raised money as that level and at such speed as the Clinton campaign. Also no one has laundered that much money openly since Pablo Escobar. They had Big Social Media. They had Big Tech. They had Hollywood. They had Big Education. They had the narrative of the "first woman POTUS ever in US history". They had most of Big Finance. They had just about all of the activist MSM. They had voting drives all across the country. They had a saturation effect on college campuses. No one has done that many ad buys ever in political history as Team Blue in the 2016 general cycle. And they lost to a 4th rate failed reality TV star grifter narcissist and a rag tag band of novice political street fighters in Kellyanne Conway and Mark Burnett (both utterly brilliant)  with a limited cash reserve and totally reliant on Trump basically trying to attack everyone all the time to get as much unpaid media coverage possible ( On paper, over 2.5 billion, but real estimates are probably close to 4 billion)  It was one of the greatest underdog stories ever in American history and no one would say it because they hated Trump. 

Trump is an imbecile. Don't get me wrong, he's got some charisma and he can be entertaining and he wasn't wrong about the "Deep State" and the corruption of the corporate media. But he's an exhausting narcissistic orange malcontent. How do you lose to that? He even said that out loud. He pointed out if Clinton lost to him, with all the horses lined up behind her, that she should be ashamed of herself. Then he went out and helped to deliver the greatest win for Pro Life that the country has ever seen. And the futile attempts to put him down only exposed the utter corruption and stupidity of the establishment Democrats and their cronies. 

It's less about Trump winning 2016 and more about Team Blue falling on their face despite trying everything possible to cheat. How pathetic is that.

The entire executive is rotten to the core.   It needs to be gutted and have massive reforms which includes checks and accountability.    The US executive branch has turned into the most massive organization known to mankind.  People inherently suck and when you give people unlimited unchecked power they completely suck.  The problems with our executive branch.

1.  It is way too big with over 4 million employees and is only answerable to one elected official (the President).

2.  They have way too much power.   They write massive amount of regulations loosely based on laws which are often greatly expanded over what was passed by the legislature.   The executive branch angencies effectively writes the rules, enforces the rules, and makes judgement on the rules many having their own courts or have a DC circuit which has become a rubber stamp for executive abuses.  

3.  Attempts by the legislature to hold the executive agencies accountable is laughable.   They pull in these bureaucrats into testify before Congress and they stonewall, outright lie or hide behind things like thst is 'classified', or thst is an 'on-going investigation, or 'we can't reveal our methods'.

4.  The are armed to the hilt.  Even agencies like the NIH are purchasing huge amount of assault weapons and have a ridiculous amount of ammo stockpiled.

5.  They secretly hire 'assets' off the books and strong-arm corporations to do an end run around the Constitution and hire out the deeds thst they are prohibited by the Bill of Rights to abuse citizens.   

 

Our executive branch is a cesspool of corruption and is far closer to fascism than a Constitutional Republic.
