I discussed that on FBGs in one of my deleted posts years ago.  Basically putin was prepping for a war scenario with europe after the US overthrew the Ukrainian government by funneling loads of refugees from the middle east, thru russia and into the baltics, poland, germany etc. the idea is that diversity is a tremendous weakness as when it comes time to build an army, having a male population where like 40% does not speak the native tongue very well if at all makes for a shiity army as you get a lot of basic communication breakdowns.

Apparently, a lot of NATO knows how to read Article 5. Taiwan is not in NATO. Many NATO countries are fixing to sit that one out.  Can't blame them.
