All the time but to their credit, the Geek Club Democrats have enough sense/decency to not post endorsing that. They do vote for prosecutors who refuse to incarcerate people or hand out ultra-light sentences because "equity" and fail to see the connection.

Nobody wants more crime or wants to legalize theft, thats dumb to say.

We can debate how to fix it.  I'm not sure the answer is to imprison everyone, but there should be a deterrent to crime and a consequence.  We can do better there.

Philly is a sewer and has been for years.  SF used to be such a beautiful city and that is ruined to the point it will never recover to what it was.  Seattle and Chicago are going down the tubes fast.

What is the downside to imprisoning people that do bad things? Especially those that repeatedly do bad things?  Im not talking smoking a crack pipe in the alley.  Im talking grand theft, home break ins, assault, arson.

It’s not simple. And no it’s not common sense that more or rougher imprisonment deters crime. In fact there’s a lot of evidence against that. 

The liberal viewpoint, that we need prison reform, justice reform, and most of all police reform, are important and solid ideas backed by years of analysis and study. Because they don’t feel right to you as a conservative you make snap judgments about their wisdom and effectiveness that have no bearing on reality. 
 

I am not arguing that every liberal solution is the right one, nor am I suggesting that every point you and other conservatives have made here is necessarily wrong. But I strongly reject simplistic approaches to complex problems, and knee jerk reactions, and this is one of the main attributes of the current Trump led Republican Party IMO.
