This was a long time ago and while obviously disgusting, creepy, etc issues like these were handled differently in that era. It’s crazy to think today, but it’s how it was.

Jim denies he knew anything. It is pretty apparent to most that is a lie. He doesn’t have the ability or character to admit this.

Looks like there may be multiple votes just as in January. But most pundits seem to believe that Jordan will become Speaker more out of exhaustion than anything else. Even Republicans who don’t like Jordan know that SOMEBODY has got to be Speaker. 
 

Who knows? From my perspective there’s very little to like about the guy. But I’m always willing to be pleasantly surprised. Right now the Senate is pushing through a bill that gives aid to Israel, funds the military, spends more on border security, and gives aid to Ukraine. Quite obviously the idea here is to offer 3 items that the hardliners are in favor of in order to get the 4th one in there. Jordan’s first test will be whether he agrees to this or blows it up.

I’m pretty sure that the wrestlers came forward long ago, when Jordan ran for office. It was a local story then. Now, since Jordan aspires to be one of the most powerful people in our government, it’s a national story. No serendipity about it.

Is your guess that every time he moves up the national chain of power and influence, it's relevant to inform people of his character. Then voters can decide whether they support someone who would vote for Jordan, with his baggage, into a position of leadership.

If by inform people of his character, you mean inform people of allegations which should have been adjudicated back in 2018 or better yet decades earlier, and instead of doing so just throw them out every time he is in the headlines because he plays for a different team than the MSM, then we agree.

MSM is careful to blame for Jim Jordan for not allegedly reporting. They gloss over what it actually was that should have been reported.  It was powerful predatory homosexuals that were allowed to run rampant on the campus during that era.  They are not going to touch that part of the story.

There was a minor story about that but that’s not what the anger against Jordan is about.  It’s about him denying knowledge of abuse by Doctor Strauss, even though the head coach has acknowledged it, and the university has now paid out over $60 million in settlements for.

The settlements have nothing to do with Jordan.  They have to do with OSU Presidents, trustees, and other high ranking athletic department officials knew about the culture and did nothing. It wasn’t just wrestlers that these pedophiles preyed upon.

Actually I think both items are correct. Gaetz wanted single issue voting but he also had a personal enmity against McCarthy. 
 

However since Gaetz is not a stupid man and must therefore know that single issue voting will never happen no matter who is speaker, it’s reasonable to assume that, of the two items, personal enmity was more important.

Not rewriting anything. I happen to know more than was reported.  Strauss was a creep that groped college athletes for years. He gave his special physicals to more than wrestlers.
