I saw her age (at the time) of 22 and went back to my usual line of thinking when this stuff happens. Teachers straight out of college should not be allowed to teach high school until they put in a few years in grade school and then middle school. When you have a 22 year old teaching in a school full of 17-18 year old boys, what do you think is going to happen? It's wrong because of "teacher code" and whatnot but you're talking about young adults who were within a year or so of being in the same high school or college together where no one would give two shits how much sex they had. 

Now of course, that is not the case here as its a 14 year old middle school student and a 22 year old should really not be going after a barely pubescent 14 year old boy.

When I was in high school we had a couple hot teachers right out of college.  We hit on them like crazy.  Now that I'm older I totally agree with you here.

We had a head cheerleader from our school return straight ought of college.  She taught english and coached the cheerleaders.  She was quite distracting.  We had another teacher who had worked as a Bunny at the playboy club and who had her picture in her Bunny outfit published in the magazine.  She was unusually attractive.  The fantasies of us boys aside neither would have ever dreamed of crossing the teacher/student propriety line.  

 

I do note the former Bunny taught a senior's honors english class.  It was a voluntary class.  My senior year the class was comprised of 30 boys as 30 was the class size limit.   I don't remember a single thing from the cirriculum but i vividly remember her in a green dress.

How do you know? How do you know they didn’t fantasize about it and how do you know if the perfect situation came along they wouldn’t find themselves “falling in love” with their student? It only takes one.

People aren't surprised, but I don't think it's too much to expect teachers and people in a power dynamic like that to not fock their students.   Your other examples don't have that in the eqaution, so they aren't quite the same.

It's the power dynamic difference and it is in a lot of teacher code of conduct they sign. Obviously some of them are idiots and don't adhere but it's a line you should not cross
