You need a mental break, bro. Step away from the computer and news today.

Final Sentences Ordered in Whitmer Kidnap Plot

Five of the eight were convicted of crimes in support of the plot.  In addition to the convictions of Higgins and Fix, three others were found guilty by a jury in a Jackson County trial and are currently incarcerated for their roles in the plot.

They were entrapped an still found guilty.  🤔

Personal attack. Check

Trump committed crimes. He's using his candidacy as a shield and you are falling for it. Brush up on reading comprehension.

Trump atty Todd Blanche argues he didn't falsify records to promote his candidacy - but if he did "that’s still not enough" to convict.

"It doesn't matter if there was a conspiracy to try to win an election. Every campaign in this country is a conspiracy to promote a candidate.”

Defense lawyer Todd Blanche said in closing arguments that payments to Donald Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen were recorded as legal expenses because there was no other option in the system for recording payments to lawyers.

You spent too much time on this post.  I don't care if there's proof or not... the city, the state, and the judge are doing everything they can to make sure there is a guilty verdict, and that's what I expect.  In NYC, the likelihood of a fair and impartial jury in a trial against Donald Trump is virtually impossible... I think we saw that with E. Jean Carroll trial.

Don’t be a b1tch.

I’ll respect the jury’s verdict, whatever it is. That’s how it works.

They either get their way, or it's rigged.

You see, if Trump is convicted it’s because it was rigged.

And if Trump is acquitted, well then we know he’s doubly innocent because he won even though it was rigged!

It’s a win-win. Genius

Biden campaign bringing in actors to speak out against Trump at courthouse isn’t a good look if they are still trying to convince people this isn’t lawfare.

I haven’t found Officer Fanone’s IMDB page, but he spoke today…

Former officer Michael Fanone, who protected the Capitol on 1/6, speaks outside Trump's NY trial:

“This election is about Donald Trump and his vision for the office of the president ... not as a public servant ... but as an authoritarian who answers to and serves only himself.”

Todd Blanche is back at the podium to resume his closing. He advised Judge Merchan he has about 40 minutes left in his arguments.

[Scheduling Note: Also, the jury indicated it's willing to work late today.]

Blanche: Why did the prosecution call Stormy Daniels? They did it to try to inflame your emotions. To try to embarrass Trump. That's why.

NOTE: The jury shows no reaction to being told by Blanche that prosecutors were trying to inflame their emotions by putting Stormy Daniels on stand.

For everyone saying all Trump's indictments are political, why did Trump announce he was running for president on November 15, 2022? Everyone agrees that was crazy early! But...he announced it so early because he knew these indictments were coming. He wanted to plant the seeds that his legal issues were political attacks. His supporters ate it up and still spit it out. Regardless, this has all played out exactly how he wanted it to, and it was all predicted here. The 2nd to last paragraph says it all, and it was written in 2022.

Look at this guy. Wonders why Trump declared early but doesn’t ponder why he’s being prosecuted now for something that allegedly occurred 8 years ago.  Brilliant.

October Cohen to Davidson recording played to the jury:

"What about me?"

“Who else would do that for somebody?”

“I wasn’t gonna play, penny wise pound foolish.”

BLANCHE: “Mr. Cohen had an axe to grind, because Cohen didn't appreciate what President Trump did and did not do for him, when he became President of the United States.”

BLANCHE: There is no dispute that Trump never signed the agreement [with Stormy]. Trump never signed the side letter and the government wants you to believe he discussed it with Mr. Cohen multiple times? They want you to believe Trump thought this could cost him election, but he never signed an agreement, so how could it be enforced?

[ME: Blanche is wrong about the enforceability of the agreement.]

BLANCHE: “He told you he talked to President Trump on October 24 at 8:02 pm updating you on the Daniels situation. That was a lie, and he got caught red handed."

BLANCHE: We all know he called Keith Schiller about the fact that a 14-year old had been harassing him for several days.

BLANCHE: “That is perjury!”

I have to use x from browser (not app). Copy the link and paste somewhere like notes. Change “x” to “twitter” and paste edited link in the post.  Give it a few seconds to re-image.

Blanche then argues that the prosecution lied to the jury. The prosecution objects—and Judge Merchan sustains the objection.

Blanche: "Cohen is the MVP of liars."

Blanche: Cohen has lied to his family, his wife, his kids, he lied to his banker, he lied to the FEC and every reporter he talked to...he has lied to Congress, prosecutors, business associates, his bosses, in fact he is also a thief, he stole tens of thousands of dollars from the Trump Org.

Okay, I just tried it, but instead of copying it to notes, I just changed "x" to "Twitter" in the URL on the browser page, then copied it and it works too.  Saves  a step...thank you.
