26 out of how many??

Yeah, that was some 4D chess planning to announcement for Philly so that you can thumb your nose at the PA governor you didn't pick.

Or... the pick was supposed to be Shapiro, as leaked/reported over the weekend, but something changed.

Which would Occam's Razor say, since we are looking for simple solutions.

You’re trying to create a conspiracy where there isn’t any. Whoever they pick Pennsylvania is the key state.

I changed the title to reflect the conservative frustration. Attacking Kamala on the issues doesn’t seem to be getting anywhere (though it’s still probably the best option). So they’re attacking her race, and trying to attack Walz on tampons and on his military record. All of that is total waste of time. It will have no effect (or a negative effect for Trump.)

Conservatives probably need to hope for an economic calamity or new world crisis to change the current dynamics. But what an awful thing to hope for!

Why do you think attacking her on the issues isn't going anywhere?  You are still on your sugar high with her; the question is if the complicit MSM praetorian guard will continue to not ask Harris any questions.  Literally, no questions in, what, 17 days?  No press conferences, nothing.  She'll skate into the DNC having not addressed economic disasters, foreign wars, the border fiasco, nothing.  And groups like Bloomberg will scrub their fluff pieces to avoid Walz's stolen valor.

Funny thing is, you derp around here thinking it's some organic love fest with a fundamentally unlikeable person.

No, you are right, it's 4D chess like I said.  The leak over the weekend that it was Shapiro as well.  Quite an orchestrated con game for such a simple situation.

Since when has Trump ever talked about the issues? When he’s not name calling his entire schtick has been claiming everything is a “disaster” now but it was the greatest in history when he was in charge.

The next time Don talks policy will be the first. 😂

Your last sentence betrays a fundamental disconnect from the reality around you. People really do like Kamala Harris. The excitement can’t be manufactured. I keep trying to tell you this but I guess you will refuse to believe it until the election demonstrates it. Perhaps you won’t believe it even then; you’ll find explanations and excuses

Occam's Razor would say that PA is an important state regardless of who the VP pick was and very well could've been starting the push there anyway.

They also still had Shapiro show up and pump the crowd up.

I dunno Timbo, the Swift Boat attack on Walz could work. I’m a little surprised this apparently wasn’t vetted or if they have a good response, I haven’t seen it yet.

Now it certainly is hypocritical coming from Trump, no doubt. But it could still be effective

Vance will be given the assignment.  It’s not going to be pretty. The best Walz can say is he misspoke. Which doesn’t cut it. You dont Misspeak about going into combat.

Did he misspeak about his rank when he retired, as well?

I actually suspect that @IGotWormsgot it right -- it wasn't so much that Team Harris was afraid of the pro-terrorist wing of her party, but rather Shapiro has higher aspirations than being a possible losing VP candidate to a last-minute diving catch, and said "thanks but no thanks."  That explains your last paragraph, and the presumptive picking of Philly for the announcement.

Tim, I don't know how to say this because you are on a binge with blue pills here, but... nobody really likes Kamala Harris.  Three weeks ago she was the weak link, too weak to take over for a virtually brain-dead guy.  And I'll remind you of your powers of analysis regarding people, because you still don't believe it about Biden, which makes it very hard to have a serious discussion with you about it.

Here, let's try this.  Find us a statement from anyone in the media, from 2024 but before Harris was undemocratically selected as the candidate, which is effusive in praise for her.

Alright so I’m reading that he retired from the National Guard to run for Congress. That seems more valid. And it was a year before they were deployed.

The combat zone stuff, he didn’t actually say that. It is sort of an implication though.

Shapiro was never the definitive call and in PA government there was never a sense that Shapiro was gone.

I said though when Walz was announced I'm sure this was to keep Shapiro free and clear of a potential 2024 loss so they have him ready to roll in 2028 if necessary.

You know how you know no one has faith and/or likes Kameltoe?   They wanted to keep a dementia riddled 82 year old zombie in the race instead of her.  The only reason they didn't was because of the debate.

Don't know if you noticed but that article was written by the same guy who changed his recent article from "Iraq" to "Italy" as noted earlier in this thread.

Looks like he went thru the same vetting process the Biden team used for Kamala.

So I'm guessing a coin-flip.

Wow. He went to combat where? Duluth? Arkansas? This is not good. He’s going to have to apologize.

I am uncertain of the rules for the national guard, but don't they serve two weeks a year and then one weekend a month for the remaining 11 months of ther year?  If so and one was to take his 25 years as fact, which may be a bit exaggerated from what I have read, he served 25 years times 2 weeks for 50 weeks, plus 11 weekends a year or 22 days a year for 25 years or 550 days so around 2 and 1/2 yerars of actual service which was all training for service when needed and called and when needed and called he opted out.  Now I understand opting out was his absolute right.  That said to tout his 2 & 1/2 years of training for service he opted out of so that he could go to school on the government's dime, well to me that is not serving 25 years in the army, that is taking advantage of the G.I. bill, which we are all free to do but doesn't make someone some sort of military hero. Were I he I would note that national guard service is a wonderful mechanism to fund an education, but I would not be saying I carried a weapon of war in war.

His puffery about his service does not violate the letter of the Stolen Valor Act of 2013 as he did not claimed he won a qualifying medal, but it certainly violates the spirit of the act.  Frankly as folks start to appreciate what he did he will be disgraced, and rightfully so.

So instead, they picked the 2nd Wokest person on the planet who's stolen valor, encouraged the BLM riots, is a drunk, wants to make it easy for CHILDREN to get reassigned surgery, is for open borders, encourages sanctuary cities and praises communist values.

They are making this way to easy for Vance.

Vance is going to destroy him.

Somewhere, someone has a running list of names of those children assualted and those women raped and killed by illegals during the last 3 & 1/2 years.  I wonder at the total numbers.

Guys, guys, this Walz stuff is all practically normal.  Vance though, he supports nuclear families and encouraging children.  That's no way to keep a culture/society going.  That's just... what's the word... wait for it...

This was apparently an issue on his Gov run. Here’s an interview that he had that went into this.

https://www.mprnews.org/story/2018/10/03/tim-walz-national-guard-career-minnesota-governor-race

“I know that there are certainly folks that did far more than I did. I know that," Walz said. "I willingly say that I got far more out of the military than they got out of me, from the GI Bill to leadership opportunities to everything else."
