What podcasts do you like, if any

Recommended Posts

Please no political ones, I’ve found that I like just listening to a few when I’m on the treadmill/on a walk instead of music.

the bonfire with big jay and Bob Kelly is really good

two bears one cave with Tom segura and Bert is also funny.  Bert’s solo one isn’t as good.

I have a couple more, but I’m curious if anyone has any other good ones that I haven’t heard of.

Not a podcast but I still listen to Coast To Coast AM when a subject I like comes on and pay the $6 a month so I can listen to the ones I want without commercials.

Cinephobe

289 episodes

Welcome to Cinephobe: The Podcast where Zach Harper, Amin Elhassan and Anthony Mayes review movies that are poorly rated on Rotten Tomatoes, and try to ascertain whether or not those movies are accurately poorly rated, or maybe just didn’t get a fair shake. Cinephobe! Wherever you get Podcasts!

Pretty funny, new one is Men at Work, brutal movie, makes for a very good Cinephobe.

When I was a kid, we got the audio perfectly for the Playboy channel. But the video signal was completely scrammed. I guess you could call that the original palmcast. ✊✊💦💦

https://freakonomics.com/podcasts/ -- 3 of them:

Freakonomics Radio -- Freakonomics co-author Stephen J. Dubner uncovers the hidden side of everything. Why is it safer to fly in an airplane than drive a car? How do we decide whom to marry? Why is the media so full of bad news? Also: things you never knew you wanted to know about wolves, bananas, pollution, search engines, and the quirks of human behavior.

No Stupid Questions -- Research psychologist Angela Duckworth (author of Grit) and tech and sports executive Mike Maughan really like to ask people questions, and they believe there’s no such thing as a stupid one. So they have a podcast where they can ask each other as many “stupid questions” as they want.

The Economics of Everyday Things -- Who decides which snacks are in your office’s vending machine? How much is a suburban elm tree worth, and to whom?  How did Girl Scout Cookies become a billion-dollar business? In bite-sized episodes, journalist Zachary Crockett looks at quotidian things and finds amazing stories.

https://hiddenbrain.org/ -- Hidden Brain explores the unconscious patterns that drive human behavior and questions that lie at the heart of our complex and changing world.

Those are the main ones (non-political) I listen to most of their episodes.  I also have Tim Ferriss, The Genius Life, and Peter Attia in my pod feed, but it depends on the subject.

Also Honestly by Bari Weiss, but that is political more often than not.

For some reason I don't do podcasts, I love listening to music, but I'm open to try some funny ones.

Any other funny ones besides the ones the OP noted?

In Spanish or French, they tell real life interesting stories mixed with English to help you improve your language learning and comprehension.

Here is a story that you can listen to and read along on YouTube:
