And I gotta be up in a just a few hours so I was really hoping to get some sleep. But the jet lag gets me every time. The first few days on one of these trips I will fall asleep like normal…and then 2-3 hours later I wake up and I‘m wide awake, nothing to be done. So I guess I’m watching after all. It’s news that Melania is keeping her distance IMO. Amsterdam is beautiful- the downtown anyway. The canals actually remind me more of the Riverwalk in San Antonio than Venice. But of course the buildings are totally different. Most of them were built around 1900- guide was telling me that although Rotterdam ( the port) was completely destroyed, the city itself avoided major damage because they surrendered quickly in 1940 and then the Nazis surrendered quickly in 1945.
