If not: they're not saving Kamala for anything.  If she doesn't win this year (as veep or pres), she's done.  She won't be the candidate in 2028.

Now is probably her best chance, but I wouldn’t be surprised if she was a top candidate in ‘28. Remember Biden was shoved aside in ‘16 and did t get off to a hot start in ‘20 but then he got his shot (too late, unfortunately, because now he’s so fockin old, but that’s a different issue)

OK reading my position correctly.

both Biden and Kamala are weak candidates. I want both to lose. Biden cannot win, Kamala has some slight chance because Trump himself has such high negatives. I prefer Biden for the layup win and for another reason: 2028.

In a 2028 Democratic primary,  the Dems will be able to field a slate of new candidates, maybe some will be talented and formidable. Well, I don't want a talented and formidable Dem to win. Kamala will be a formidable for her VP status and for identity politics reasons but is not talented. Nobody likes her. There will easily be more electable people in the 2028 field than her, just like last time she ran in 2020. So I am totally behind Kamala 2028 as the horse most likely to lose in the Democratic field.

She is unremarkable, flawed, but the DEI darling of a party obsessed with DEI. So let the Democrats run their DEI princess in 2028 and label any opposition to her as a racist and mysogynist, terms the Democrats like to throw around anyway at political opponents they don't like. "People who oppose Vice President Harris are racists and mysogynists. Vote Kamala 2028" is a phenominal club to use to primary challengers because Democrat voters are lemming idiots who'll fall for it. Plus James Clyburn seems deeply inclined to back Harris in 2028, and he could very well reprise his kingmaker role again for the Dems in that election too.

Kamala clears teh field of anybody decent, the Dems wind up saddled with two total sh*t candidates in a row, is great for America.

But if Kamala  runs this time, she's actually got a shot because Trump is unpopular AND it takes her out in 2028.

Joe 2024, Kamala 2028 Sonia Sotomayor heart attack 2029.  Happy day! Happy day!

What if they were to do a Scooby Doo style unmasking and find out she is none other than Rachel Dolezal?

Agreed.  Clyburn has already put the marker down saying she should not be bypassed.  Identity politics requires it.  They have way better candidates than Harris but she is going to be the replacement, in the 80% likelihood that Biden drops out.

Gone are the days where the best possible candidate elevates.....  😔

That's where I'm at. Run Joe this year because other than a bad 90 minutes, he's totally with it. Everyone should listen to Karin Jean Pierre on this.

The nice thing about not replacing him with Kamala in 2024, is the Dems can save Kamala for 2028. They'd not want to be racist and misogynist by replacing her.

If Joe loses this year they can run him in 2028.

Dumb take.

It has to be Harris because as VP she is heir apparent.

That’s the deal.

Now if she is truly just a sh1t candidate that might be different. But the polling has her doing better than anybody against Trump. Somebody with no baggage whatsoever might be good but there won’t be time to introduce them to the national stage.

I think it has to be Harris because to not elevate her would send the DEI elements of the party into absolute upheaval.

Yup, plus several of the other rumored options could be considered “DEI hires” also (Whitmer, Buttigieg, Shapiro, etc)

It's funny how conservatives were aware of creepy joe being out of his mind for years now, but liberals are just now catching on.

Could this be because liberals are really stupid?

Yes, but I prefer the word ignorant.

You can trust me.  I'll work with Taiwan and help defend the nation in exchange for them immediately investing in 3nm chip manufacturing in the US and open access to any technologies we deem critical.

Did he? It's a great quid pro quo.  Obviously the deal would apply to future, smaller nodes as they become available.

He said that if Taiwan wants defense that they need to pay for it and that they stole all of the chip manufacturing.

So the likely implementation of that policy is they onshore some of that chip manufacturing.

I’ll watch but purely for the funnies. There is absolutely nothing you can learn from a 90-minute debate that you couldn’t learn from 10 minutes of online research. And given the candidates’ habit of chronic lying who even cares what they say.

I did. I heard, didn’t see , him mumbling his words when he was into his 70’s. Tell me the time where you think young Joe Biden was shown to stutter. That focking guy was on the Sunday morning shows every week.

It's something he's talked about his whole life, something that is a fact.  But you still refuse to believe that the covid vaccine is a vaccine so you have trouble with facts.

People with common sense recognize the dude has dementia early on.  Gutter frantically googles counter arguments and finds the spoon fed narrative that it's not dementia, it's just a stutter.  Gutter is very proud of himself for some reason.  Good grief.

He clearly slowed down and is impaired these days.  He also has had a stutter his whole life.  Two things can be true.  You don't do logic well.
