Bitcoin is valued in ALL assets.

It's cute you thought you had something there.

Ok, good luck using your bitcoins to buy groceries or pay your rent next week.

I believe the apex of human society was the suburbs of major cities in the United States post WW2 through 2019.

Second time I’ve seen you post about paying for food and rent,  can you use some financial help?

I mean, if you want to send me some money...? Haha  Bro I'm good. But I appreciate your concern.  I'm mostly concerned about people who don't have the means on here and buy into the Bitcoin hype as a get rich quick scheme then get scammed and end up starting all over again.   Just looking out for the less fortunate. (Like as Jesus would do)

I own my house and my refrigerator is too full sometimes that I give food to the homeless and less fortunate in my neighborhood.   So I am good.  But I honestly appreciate you looking out.

I can trade my Bitcoin for whatever currency I want. Meanwhile the USD will continue to lose value through inflation. So yes my 1 btcoin can buy a lot of groceries and pretty soon my 1 BTC will be able to buy a house. Sadly, you don't understand that.

But you do, have to trade your bitcoins for "real currency" before you buy anything... unless you find another sucker in the ponzi scheme who will take them from you on faith that they are worth anything....   let me know how buying your Mansion in Houston goes without exchanging it for actual dollars first.  Congrats!

Don't you love it that when Trump was POTUS and raised the national debt to a new record high, MAGA folks and Republicans had no issue with it, did they? Or at least not on this forum.

Now all of a sudden there are like 6 threads on Page 1 and folks on the right are screaming "Something has to be done about the debt!"

I prefer Miami over Houston. So here is your notice that yes you can by a Mansion with Bitcoin...

And for the record buying a house in bitcoin is far less complex than the current sh1itty wire system.

The only reason you like bitcoin is because it's not controlled by those dirty Jews, isn't it? Be honest.

Being decentralized is a huge bonus. No country or as you put it dirty jews control it.

Do you dislike it because (again your words) the dirty jews don't control it?

I don't believe I gave any opinions on crypto. Just wondering how deep your antisemitism runs. I have you pegged as one of those "Jews control the monetary supply" guys. Was I wrong?

Can’t wait for Elon to audit government spending and rid a lot of fraud that our taxes go to.
The government should be run like a business, and you need business minds to do that. Not blow job queens.

America (the congress) needs to spend less money on pork projects in Podunk Kentucky that are for contracts awarded to their friends for projects that pave 2 miles of road that the 217 yokels who live there can enjoy.  But they get their votes! Thanks gerrymandering and the electoral college!     That's a start.

I’ve heard this line my entire life and it’s never made any sense to me. The aims, purposes, methods of government have nothing to do with private business.
If you want to argue that government should be run more efficiently that one thing. But you can’t run it like a business because it’s entirely different.

Trump obivously didn't take Covid that seriously, saying (40 times per WaPo) in the early stages of the pandemic that the virus would either "disappear" and/or "go away".

So here are the scary facts that both political parties are ignoring, to our peril:

1. The current total national debt is 35 trillion dollars.

2. This amount increases by 1 trillion each year (the deficit.) Sometimes less sometimes more. (Last year it was 1.5 trillion.)

3. Our interest payments on the debt are a trillion a year. This represents 22% of our total annual government spending (4.5 trillion.)

4. Neither the Republicans nor the Democrats have any proposals to alleviate this in the slightest. Both parties propose massive more spending. Republicans propose more tax cuts in addition to the spending so they will actually increase the deficit far more. Democrats propose tax increases but coupled with their spending these will not be enough to significantly address this issue. Both parties seem to want to pretend that this issue doesn’t exist (though conservatives tend to talk about it more, but mainly as a tool to argue against specific liberal spending proposals.)

5. There will be a point, sometime in the future, when the amount of interest will be large enough to as to create a financial calamity in this country. How big, how catastrophic, nobody knows. But it IS coming at some point.

What to do?

Not sure but I know if we let in millions of immigrants every year that'll definitely help

Print $35 Trillion, give it to some guy no one has ever heard off as if it was his to begin with.

Announce that you are selling off some US govt land in Idaho to this guy for $35 trillion and pay off the debt. This sham administration could do that right now and the media would say, 'look, biden/harris solved the nations debt problem'. 50% or more of US citizens would simply agree.

So the guy hands Uncle Sam a stack of $100's 20, 000 miles high weighing in at around 750,000 pounds.  Would have to be a strong man with great balancing skills and on a windless day.

Trump spent something like  $2.5T addressing covid including giving you $2k for sitting at home.  He also funded your precious jabs.

Have we considered killing off anyone over 75?  That would probably solve the debt crisis by itself with savings to Medicare and social security.

All you'd need to do is have a pandemic that effects older folks in an outsized way and instead of wasting $10T, do nothing.

Cuomo and Walz did their best.

Even for the party of revisionist history, that's the most revising I've ever seen.

Agree. I think everyone can get behind not having or increasing debt, but can they handle the pain it takes to wind it down?
