I've no idea what MSNBC runs at night time. I'll assume it is the leftist version of whatever rightie stuff FOX News runs.

I do watch bits and pieces of Morning Joe at times. Joe doesn't like Trump because of how Trump conducts himself more than his political positions. (Well that and Trump was putting out the many times debunked claim of Scarborough killing his intern). Hell the ACU had him as a 95% lifetime rating on their scale. But he will also call out Democrats on their nonsense.

But that doesn’t matter. The point is, just like between 2017-2020, it’s going to serve as the main news venue for people who don’t like what Trump is up to, which means half the nation. It will serve the same role that Fox News served during the Biden years. Thats why its ratings are about to soar. If you tried to do away with it something else would come along to fill the vacuum. 

Meanwhile Fox is going to become the voice of the new administration. It won’t be on the attack any longer, instead it will become the excuse maker. Its ratings will likely go down.

Musk is too smart to buy a tv network imo, if he did, it would be just to make it disappear, it would be a nice writeoff

The thing here is he can follow the Bezos model, for a while.   Bezos is basically throwing money at his toy to keep it afloat, so too can Musk.....and it might take time to fix it......but the world could use an actual journalistic outlet.

Imagine if he could create an outlet that does not have the bias of CNN/MSDNC/NBC/CBS/ABC   OR Fox.....

It simply reports information, with little to know "colorization" toward a political party......I think most people would gravitate to something like that.

Thanks for the response. Normally the term “classical liberal” is used to define someone who is more libertarian. I think the term you might be thinking of is “traditional liberal” which would more describe somebody who generally believes the government should help the unfortunate among us in various ways. 

I find it interesting that 100% of your description of far leftists are non- economic. Again the traditional definition of a far leftist is someone like AOC or Bernie Sanders. While neither of them is a Communist both of them want much greater government involvement in economics than we have now. But you are focused on non-economic issues. 
 

I don’t think your definition feels right to me. Personally I am very much pro-business, believe in the free marketplace. But I am also sympathetic to many woke issues, including transgender rights. Under your definition I am far leftist and I’m quite positive that’s not accurate.

Your definitions are out of date. Bernie Sanders is now a mainstream Democrat, he looks a lot less crazy in 2024 than he did in 1996. But that's because the mainstream Democrats joined him in socialism while the freak show leftoids arrived to his left and pulled the entire party into lunatic land. 

I miss Democrats that talk about blue collar workers, notice they don't do that anymore. They'd still have Joe Rogan and Tim Pool among others if they did.
