In this instance, no not at all, I was just being a smart ass---but I've made that clear many times is discussing Trump's role in the January 6th attacks that rhetoric can lead to violence.

Could it lead to an assassination attempt?

The police are spending an awful lot of time combing through video camera footage. Maybe they could prowl United Healthcare's records for people that got screwed over by the corporation, that way they can limit the search to a few million people plus their family members.

Meh. It's way deeper than a focking guy who works for them in their company. CEO or not.

I don't know how any of you can justify this shlt.

Obviously yes-we saw that with Nancy Pelosi.

Perhaps then, people should not use rhetoric to then....assert lies about their political opponents eh?  Further, they should not call out others for the very thing they are doing.....makes sense....

I have no doubt that they have a ton more info than what they're telling us they know.

Here's my prediction....

They're going to find the guy, there'll be a shootout and he will be killed.  It will then come out is that this person had a specific personal axe to grind with this guy and it won't really be about his job or anything to do with the Healthcare system, even though common sense says it is.

Makes sense from the standpoint that the backpacks are clearly different.

I guess it’s possible he had different backpacks

Sure, but I think that would be giving him too much credit.  If he were worthy of that credit, he'd have never done the most obvious... remove his mask.

Yeah, perhaps they shouldn't---though I bet you and I have radically different views about who does that more frequently.

I absolutely believe that, and I would not seek to help you past your bias that allows you to apply this principle unevenly

I get it, it’s how you sooth your pain

Still odd that he stayed at a hostel with other people and didn’t take the mask off even to eat.   Surely those other people had to be suspicious

Everyone has bias, I just don’t pretend I do not. I at least try to be balanced

Everyone is suspicious at a youth hostel. Have you ever left your house?

I stayed at a youth hostel in Montreal once, it was mostly other college kids between 19-20 going there to drink and not spend money on a hotel.  I think it was like $25 a night or something.

I’m sure it was pretty well vetted before law enforcement put it out

I’m not sure if law enforcement actually said they were of the same person, just that “they were photos of a person of interest,” in separate posts

I don’t think they’re gonna carelessly wreck some innocent guy’s life by putting his picture out there associated with a nationwide and probably international manhunt, unless they were reasonably certain.

It’s been an interesting response. Insurers focking suck, yes, but also murder is not okay. Some on the right are going too far in defending indefensible insurers while some on the left are going too far in suggesting it’s okay to kill people associated with the industry

A person was killed dude. If you don't care, then simply don't care. How has health insurance hurt you so badly? It's been fine for me even though nothing is perfect.

And lefties are in fact boot lickers.

It’s not rocket science: MAGAs are fake populists. They only hate the “elite” if the elite are left leaning types: tech moguls, Hollywood, colleges and universities etc. In every other instance they bootlick for corporate interests. Their hero is a billionaire who lives in a country club and hangs out with Elon Musk.

Yep sometimes exterem violence is the answer. Lucky we live in a some what civilized time in probably the most civilized nation. Even our civilized laws let the people down.

I said it earlier our political leaders are often to quick to call for war. All those politicians pushing to support Ukraine Israel or Gaza don't have to suffer those consequences of that support. In fact the often benefit from it while normal people suffer.

The tree of Liberty must be refreshed with blood. So yes, sometimes violence is answer.

So, you should be killed to make a liberal happy?

What does that have to do with insurance?

I focking love my insurance. I am in my 50's and in the best of health. My insurance gives me access to really good doctors to help keep me healthy.

I'm not going to play the dumb hypothetical game with you.

I'm not saying what he did was right. If I'm that guy's family I'm very upset. If I'm part of the family's who that guy hurt or maybe even had members die because of his policies then yes I can see their side too. I can see the side of everybody's anger over corporate greed. I think this was a good message sent to other CEOs and company boards that yes stockholder profits are important but when you're in a business and serving people those people are important too.

Like I said we live in a very civilized Nation. Sometimes people in high level positions need to be reminded that they can be touched too.

Who did that guy hurt or kill that he deserved to be shot to death?
